    Pros

My employer made sure that I was properly compensated for the work that I did.If I put in extra time or effort, I was compensated without having to ask. She recognized the time and effort and responded accordingly.

    Cons

A combination of flagging economy and personal problems resulted in the company's closure.

    Pros

I really enjoyed working with the clients in their homes. I thought that Orientation was well put together, it had a lot of good pointers to make the job less stressful for the client and employee.

    Cons

Even though the company looked real good on paper. Management was very unorganized and didn't follow their own policies. I was not given the support from the company I needed to do my job with excellence. The clients have a right for quality care. They had very few client cases, so I never got the opportunity to work much.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

I really wish I would of had the opportunity to work more because I enjoyed working with the elderly. Your employees need to know, that the company is backing them up when they go to the clients home. I often felt alone because I did my best to represent the company well when I went to clients homes, but when I needed the company to do their part like giving report about a clients condition, they let me down. Management always made you feel like you can be replaced.

    Pros

They are very flexible and willing to work around your school schedule. Office management is very nice

    Cons

Tend to overwork their caregivers sometimes and the pay is not that great for what we do.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Pay the caregivers according to their merit, and get some help in the office

    Pros

Personally love working for Elderly population and with families.

    Cons

New Owner/Operator- West Bloomfield Office- has absolutely no education or experience working in this business. Too busy crunching the $$$ and nickle and dimeing the families. Sad the Franchise didn't check her out first.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

This West Bloomfield office is no longer of the same philosophy as the majority of Comforcare offices in Michigan.

    Pros

Lazy family members are let off the hook.

    Cons

Shoddy training, most care providers are obese, workers without medical coverage have been given gratuities to cover medical costs so they can go to work Your employees are not paid enough for them to care about people as individuals. Your management of the company is way below average, you employ family, it's sometimes not known who or which aide is coming to the house.

    Pros

the job was close to home

    Cons

high turnover rate, hired anyone, underemployed and worked their good workers to death, very unorganized, doesnt pay enough for the work required, they let anyone be a supervisor, and they have no clue what they are doing,

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

they need proffessional people to run the business, not any ole person off of the street. pay your workers what they deserve for all the work they do, get more organized

    Pros

    Christian Based Company
    Gives you plenty of work.

    Cons

Pay is way to little for what you do.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

They should pay their employee's fairly. Some like myself never sit still, and work extremely hard for my clients, while others (I know for a fact) sit and do nothing. However we all get paid the same. Working hard does not make a difference. Also have a dress code that you actually enforce. I follow it, but most do not. It would be nice to have overtime for over 40 hours, since my job entails 72 hours per week. It would also be great to have benefits, and workman's comp.

    Pros

Good for a student trying to work a flexible schedule.

    Cons

Other employees were rude and didn't treat anyone with respect. Pay's not great. The staff could be given more information prior to entering a new clients home.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

It would be nice to have information prior to entering a new clients home as to what's expected and even a copy of a care plan.
