I worked at Comair full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Flight benefits were great, I loved being able to go and see new places. Most of the pilots were nice.

    Cons

Employees complained a lot, everyone was upset about the delta take over, and Management was very unorganized

    Advice to Management

    connect more with employees

  3. Could of been one of the better companies

    Pros

    Dedicated Co-workers,
Personable supervisors and mid-western caring for one-another and customers.

    Cons

Suddenly too late to correct top down leadership. Delta has hemorrhaged too many assets to sustain viability, and saftey is in serious question throughout operations due to apathy.

    Advice to Management

What type of market can this company honestly compete in with only so few, (44 aircraft) assets?

    Pros

The regional airlines working environment generally sucks. One of the "best" regional airlines to work for as new hire pilot. A good stepping stone for other endeavors.

    Cons

low 1st year pay (common to the industry but better than most), low salary doesn't reflect the responsibilities and duties (common but better than most), senior pilot mgmt is openly confrontational with the union, not very competent (common to the industry), changes in scheduling very difficult to achieve, understaffed, only two bases available and not the best (CVG & JFK)

    Advice to Management

to senior PILOT management: it is time to move on to bigger and better things elsewhere because you have not shown competence and fairness and the pilots DO NOT have any confidence in your capabilities whatsoever. This is in fact preventing the operative side of the company from moving into a "can do" attitude.
