I have been working at Comcast full-time (more than 8 years)

    Pros

Great opportunities for advancement, training, compensation and benefits are all really competitive.

    Cons

Work life flexibility is still not accepted widely, the company is constantly changing, which is also a plus but you need to be able to adapt and work hard to be successful.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

More work life balance and recognition for employees would be well received and would retain more employees

    I worked at Comcast

    Pros

Ok pay made $15.45hr after 6 months probation, there's always more then enough work to do and over time if you want. It's easy to move up as a tech just keep your performance up, if you do your job correctly supervisors will have your back ,quarterly bonuses $$ , company phone and you get to take your work truck home depending on where you work

    Cons

Rigorous work environment,be ready to work in all types of weather, and make sure to come in as a inhouse tech and not a contractor they get no respect

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Dispatch makes the job harder then it should be for techs

I have been working at Comcast full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

Fair compensation, including bonus and yearly stock grants. Good culture, though has a lot of the common challenges found in most corporate environments. Easy commute, so long as you can take the train. Work is manageable, though it can spike at times requiring a fair amount of extra time beyond normal business hours. Comcast Center in Philadelphia has a great fitness center and restaurant.

    Cons

Employees have to pay a significant share of medical benefits, with only a couple of choices, which are both close to average.

    Pros

Cable for $20 a month, Beautiful new office space, Nice people, Many departments and interesting career choices that can be made once you've been hired.

    Cons

Low salaries, Too many consultants, Finance runs everything, Non-creative jobs, Bad Customer service reflects negatively on employees as well. It's hard to find VP's that you can actually look up to.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

What's the point, they're so rich and powerful and so benefitted by the status quo they've got no incentive to change or, be better.

    Pros

It was very cool working in the Comcast Center in Philadelphia. Additionally, I was exposed to pertinent business issues on a daily basis. Had an opportunity to listen to Brian Roberts speak directly to all of the interns and explain his vision for the direction of the company.

    Cons

Extended periods of time without hearing from supervisor.
    Pay could have been better.
