Pros
There was such a rich corporate culture with accessible senior management and a dedicated attitude towards total employee wellness.
Cons
One of the greater cons was timely cost management which could have prevented the termination of several of my team members.
Advice to Senior Management
I would continue to apply forward thinking in guiding the company as well as making sure leadership is proactively assessing the competitive market.
Pros
-Flexibility in schedule
-Laid back(sometimes)
-Cafeteria in the building
Cons
-Unprofessional management
-Don't compensate good employees
-Outdated technology

Advice to Senior Management
They need to make management take several interpersonal classes a year, because 9 out of 10 managers are horrible. I think horrible management kills moral in the workplace.
Pros
Good benefits and retirement program to go with employment package.
Cons
Popularity contest, do not care about valid skills.
Advice to Senior Management
Learn how to advertise and have a significant change in the way outsides sale contigencies are approaced.
Pros
The company believes in promoting from within
Cons
Expected to continually sell -- business and personal checking account with emphasis on deposit
Pros
Has good benefits but no one will listen to you especially if you are just a teller or a little person besides management. Nice place to start your banking career due to the crazy sales expectations starting out and something to put on your resume. Get in and get out.
Cons
Sr Mngmt have very so crazy sales expectations and etc. If you can sell a house to a fam member and you say something about it, you might as well sell the mortgage to that person or else you will not be respected after that...understand?
Advice to Senior Management
Listen..Listen..Listen.....become better leaders and you will be respected more often than less often. Place is really a joke. A Wal-Mart of sales...trying to hard and doing things for self respect is not good.
Pros
The benefits are fairly good.
Cons
Dated technology, need better software.
Advice to Senior Management
Comerica needs to promote more minorities in Manager positions. No diversity in Management.
Pros
Easy to compete in an area of below average expectations
Cons
Employs people who keep their mouth shut and dont question anything even for the benefit of the Company
Advice to Senior Management
Very Foolish and Conservative management
Pros
Benefits package, retirement funds, Available positions
Cons
No job ladder, no way to advance, backward IT wise, lack of regular performance reviews, no "atta boy" when job well done, some departments hand out FLO like it's nothing, others have none.
Pros
if you sell, you get rewarded well with titles and etc.
Cons
If you like operations, this isnt for you because they dont care if you do things efficiently. as long as you bring in the numbers.
Pros
people, growth opportunity, career and development programs that are very beneficial to a person or candidate who is starting out
Cons
mid size company, alot of older employees are still working at comerica and it is a little difficult to advance in career
Advice to Senior Management
The leadership at comerica is wonderful. There is an open door environment. The leadership makes great decisions and survived the recession.
