    Pros

    They are very flexible with the schedule.

    Cons

    The managers are very set in there ways.
    Don't order the supplies needed then blame the employees when something isn't completed.
    Pay is not good. Also promises will be made but not kept. A lot of drama.

    Advice to Management

    Work on relations with loyal hardworking employees

    Pros

    Easy job but not in the summer .
    Good place to learn customer service.|
    Employee Discounts for hotel rooms .
    High Quality Suites i will be always be a customer if not employee ( as long as you are selling something convinced it's good it will be much easier). You can have full confidence that you are selling a quality service
    The Hotel is a franchise not owned by choicehotels

    Cons

    You won't be able to handle rude people sometimes , someone drunk wasted or can't wait to sleep usually cranky is not nice .

    The corporate Choicehotels tries to find every possible BS to add to their service . They added this mandatory music in the lobby and every floor . just annoying playlist same songs for weeks already . it's torture.

    They try to update the system with unnecessary features

    The uniform that you have to wear is SOOOOO Ugly i look like a rat basically !!

    There's a lot of hassle and complicated stuff the guests always complain about like Credit or debit card has to be file for incidentals and when it's going to be refunded No matter what you try to rephrase it's hard to be understood

    Advice to Management

    Pros

    I have enjoyed working at the Comfort Suites in Huntersville! The position is flexible and challenging with opportunity for personal growth in the area of customer service.

    My only disappointment has been a lack of reward for hard work and not many opportunities for advancement.

    Pros

    The job in itself is very nice, get to meet new people and great co-workers.

    Cons

    You are wayyy under paid and expected to over work. Management makes sure you do not get 40 hours just so they are not required to give you any benefits. No time and a half on holidays no overtime. Owner has a slave type of mentality no respect or appreciation given at all. Over 20 people quit in less than a year. Days were taken off on my schedule out of spite. Honestly it was a very uncomfortable environment to work in, and all the other staff can say the same thing.

    Advice to Management

    Please treat your staff with respect we are human beings and we do make mistakes at times. Please stop the gossiping coming from management. Also consider that we do have families outside of this job.

    Had to relocate due to husbands career.

    None! I thoroughly enjoyed each and every second I was employed with this company!

    Pros

    The housekeepers are great and the hotel is clean.

    Cons

    There are no raises. The pay is low. You are requiered to work every holliday and every weekend. One of the managers is always in a bad mood and constantly talks bad about other employees.

    Advice to Management

    Give raises when they are promised, rotate weekends, and praise employees for good work .

    Pros

    Steady hours( but a little short if you're in house keeping). I had opportunities to move through the ranks and was given desk training.

    Cons

    While in house keeping I experienced a lot of discrimination because I wasn't Hispanic. My supervisors were lying to the hotel manager about the reviews I was receiving, and they saying that I was working too slow despite cutting down my cleaning time by 10 minutes. Corporate needs to address the racism issues because going into this job I was really shocked that there was no way to report it without appearing racist myself. Housekeeping needs diversity.

    Advice to Management

    Pay the house keeping staff because as Fall and Winter hits, we have less rooms to clean and get paid less.

    Pros

    -Good management team
    -Flexible schedule
    -Ver yeasy, laid back job

    Cons

    -It's a smaller hotel so the pay is below average for this position at other hotels
    -High turnover

    Advice to Management

    Since this is a frachise hotel, have more oversight on how the hotels are run. Create more incentive programs for Front Desk Staff who are makng you money.
