    - Friendly people and enviornment
    - Flexible working hours
    - Highly rapid work enviornment in terms of new projects and achievning them on time
    - Very customer oriented approach
    - Engineering management team is excellent. All Managers are technically sound and understands developement and test enviornment well.

Cons- Lake of focus on company future growth or rather employee are not aware of what lies in the future.

Advice to Senior Management- Need to increase work force and salary sturcture and retain good employee for better future of company.
    - Need proper structural process in order to handle entire developement and test cycles. Instead of rushing with lots of features and new products with lot of bugs in the proect, concentrate on less but quality product\features.

CommVault is a great place to work, if you like roller coaster rides

    Enterprise Account Executive (Current Employee)
    Dallas, TX

ProsThe Product, Engineering Team, Senior Management execution, customer focused

ConsMiddle Management are micro managers (Manage via .xls) 401K benefits are sub-standard, basic customer support, lack of communication between sales, development, engineering and support

Advice to Senior ManagementLet your sales makers do what they do best, don't have them bogged down for hours updating forecast with BS information. You could free your sales teams up by 20-25% by keeping to the basics.

    Big startup

    Anonymous Employee (Current Employee)
    Oceanport, NJ

ProsGreat sales team, good support, good product line. Fairly skilled average co workers. Have fair extra curricular activities for employees.

ConsCompensation is one of the worst. Growth prospects are minimal. Lots of internal politics. Immature technical leadership. Haphazard and badly planned working.........

Advice to Senior ManagementHaving a good sales team helps the company, but the base product should be good to grow well. Concentrate on developing good and stable product rather that huge number of rarely working right features. Plan well and do right rather than fast and then spend huge time fixing bugs.

    Not so good experience

Member of Technical Staff (Current Employee)

ProsGood work only in some teams
    Flexi hours
Can work from home some times

    ConsBad management
    Wrong sense of priorities
Bad coding practices...promote fast fixes rather than correct fixes
    salary below average

Advice to Senior ManagementManagement need to fix the way they work, prioritize work. Include developers in design and feature discussions. Give developers training on product, how it was designed.

    All tactical, no strategy

    Anonymous Employee (Current Employee)
    Oceanport, NJ

ProsIf you are a developer and you have a new idea, say for a new feature in the product or for even a brand new product, you're free to work on it and implement it, with complete support from management. There will be no one to stop you or tell you what can be done and what can't be. You can choose any tool, any technology you like and follow any methodology. The only thing they care about is whether the thing will sell and add to the revenue. Work time is flexible, and working from home is common. Managers are pretty cooperative as well. Almost all managers are ex-developers who have worked on the product for at least 5-10 years. They are extremely technical and have a very deep understanding of the product and the issues involved. You are fairly well rewarded if you do something that adds to the company's bottom line.

ConsThere seems to be a complete lack of long term strategy for the product and the organization and no long term goal or career path for employees. They work hard towards the next release, adding as many features as they can to compete in the market place, release the product and immediately start working on the next release. The pace of work is hectic all year around, resulting in poor architecture, bad design and sloppy code. The result is a lot of defects and customer issues in the field, which have to be handled without affecting the development schedule for the next release. The work pressure is pretty high and it is fairly routine to spend long hours in the office. A 12-hour day is considered quite normal here. The pay is below par and the attrition rate is above average.

Advice to Senior ManagementYou gotta start thinking long time now; this is no longer a small company
