    Pros

Good office technology, good fun place to work.
You can make a difference here, willing to try new ideas
Transitioning from start up culture into well run mid sized firm. Not too bureaucratic.

    Cons

Location in Central Reading seems a strange choice. However, next to the station so not too bad.

Reliance on one software solution. May need to diversify to reduce dependency risk.

    Advice to Management

As you grow avoid building unnecessary bureaucracy. EMC is the example of how not to grow.

    Pros

Commvault has the best product and services in the market...hands-done. Simply check out Gartner. Teams are stacked with really smart people that are passionate about what they do. The organizational change...for the much better. The new headquarter is a metaphor the the change the company is going through. The company has invested in people, fun, enablement, execution, and collaboration. The slide, game areas, cricket pitch, baseball field, cafeteria, etc. are right out of Silicon Valley...but located in New Jersey.

Commvault has a great combination of product, industry and culture.

    Cons

Change is uncomfortable for many. For some it's not happening fast enough, for others, it's too fast. As a result, we have ambiguity as we are transforming. We are also asking people to do things differently...which isn't easy. It can be a demanding environment.

    Advice to Management

We are on the right path. Now we need to execute. That said, improved communication and alignment would reduced the challenge of ambiguity. Spend more time in the field.

    Pros

Growth potential as the industry is still growing. Treat employees with respect and reward for hard work. From a corporate perspective they make a priority of infusing fun into the workplace.

    Cons

Promotions based on how long one has been with the company as opposed to what an employee brings to the table. Extremely long hours for little gratitude within specific organizations and credit can often times be taken by a superior for what a subordinate has accomplished.

    Advice to Management

Make sure you give credit where credit is due and reward all employees for their hard work and dedication. Lead by example.

    Pros

    1. Company has great potential
    2. Work is amazing. You get to learn a lot.
    3. flexible work hours and unlimited time off policy for engineering.

    Cons

    1. Lack of proper leadership.
    2. No proper planning
    3. No proper communication between teams and between senior management and engineers.
    4. Many potential and hard working employees' hard work are not recognized and overshadowed due to office politics.
    5. Salary and benefits is not so good when compared to market standards.
    6. Lack of proper work culture and respect to fellow employees.
    8. Work life balance is in the extremes. Sometimes people have no work and sometimes people work on the weekends.
    9. Favoritism.
    10. Too many oscillations in the thought process.

    Advice to Management

Please hire proper managers so that planning is done properly. Favoritism should be removed and proper recognition of hard work.

Note: Employees don't leave jobs—they leave managers.

    Pros

Innovative company with fantastic product. Despite being a mid-size and growing company, people at CommVault have an opportunity to wear a lot of different hats and take on new responsibilities. Coworkers are friendly and direct. The new HQ in NJ is world class.

    Cons

The company is going through some transitions as the marketplace changes around it, but the executive strategy seems sound and already seems to be producing results.
