I worked at CommVault as an intern (less than a year)

    Pros

The company have some of really good projects to work on, and the perks are also great. Top level management is good.

    Cons

Have a very unorganized system. There's no pre-defined plan or schedule for what is to be done and when.
Some of the employees are arrogant and irresponsible. Tough interview process. Not a good place to work for years.
Especially, Development department is not a good place to work.

I worked at CommVault as a contractor (more than a year)

    Pros

No pro's, not a great work environment

    Cons

Company hires you as a "contract" temp employee with the promise of hiring you as a permanent employee. 2 years later I was still a temp with no benefits what so ever with no room for professional growth. Definite management issues that go uncorrected. Management issues that do not lead or inspire you to succeed.

I worked at CommVault full-time (more than a year)

    Pros

simpana is a great product, talented group of developers and system engineers,

    Cons

absolutely no loyalty, turnover is very highj amongst seasoned, experienced sales people; management has an unrealistic view of the importance of backup/archive & data management, contrary to what commvault professes data management is not critical to most IT organizations and is certainly not front of mind to most C level or director level personnel.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

you have a great product but an absolutley horrific culture and work environment, i would not recommend commvault to anyone. Change the culture, reward success and motivate your people rather than threaten them with their jobs.

    Pros

Working as an intern has lots of perks like free accomodation and lunch.

    Cons

Management is a mess. They make you work on something probably they would never use. Less diversity in the workforce.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice
