    Cons

Sometimes work was repetitive and not satisfying for eight hours a day. The general corporate climate was great though!

    Pros

Good supervision Very structured apprenticeship Cooperation with Frankfurt School of Finance (subject-specific as well as personal topics such as presentation skills)

    Cons

Not easy to get pass pre-selection Extensive assessment centre Lots of competition and other applicants Maybe long distance to school

    Advice to Management

The structure of the apprenticeship should stay the same, because one gains a good overview of how retail banking works and gets experience in different teams

    Pros

payment above average, Frankfurt city is a nice location, the trading floor is more spacious than in other banks

    Cons

Mainly repetitive work, out-dated technology, heavily relying on excel sheets that have been programmed years ago by someone who has already left the company and no one is brave enough to touch the spaghetti VBA code, almost no product innovations, most of the work is concerned with maintaining the legacy business case.

    Advice to Management

throw out the traders and senior team members who have no understanding of technology and who are too saturated to learn something new.

    Pros

The companies "Mittelstandsbank" is the only performing asset. This part of the company appears well managed and has a sustainable business model.

    Cons

All other segments (most notably the Retail Bank and Eurohypo) have delivered unsatisfactory results on the back of an unfavorable cost position and structural issues. Managment has tried to fix these businesses for many years without success.

    Advice to Management

At best the company should divest all assets except for the Mittelstandsbank.
