I have been working at Communications Electronics

    Pros

Family friendly company. Fair treatment of employees. Good salaries and commissions. Can make a decent living and a career. Lots of long term employees.

    Cons

Difficult sales environment and economy to work in. CE does a great job reacting to change and partnering with its strategic partners.

I have been working at Communications Electronics full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

38 year old family owned business works hard to balance career, promote growth, provide training and reward in an ever changing industry.

    Cons

It is family owned, though not exclusively, so senior management career opportunities may be limited. However, 2 sr manager positions have been added recently, both non-family members. All of management work extremely hard and care.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Keep doing what you're doing!

I worked at Communications Electronics part-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

    Flexible hours
    Friendly staff
    No unattainable sales goals

    Cons

Everyone in upper management seems to have the same few last names...however, I will say that becoming a manager or assistant manager at the store level is definitely attainable.

I have been working at Communications Electronics

    Pros

I would say that the place understands the balance between work life and personal life. The compensation plan also balances between how many hours you work. So if you work only a few hours that week, you are only required to sell so many phones.

    Cons

Basic phones don't make commission. Some people refuse to buy a smart phone and that can have big impacts on your commission and averages.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Pay out on basic phones. At he very least make them count towards your tier. I know AT&T still pays you.
