I worked at Communities & Local Government as an intern (less than an year)

    Pros

People - most don't fit the civil service stereotype, instead they were energetic and dynamic
Freedom - probably specific to being an intern, but I was given some freedom to pursue opportunities that appealed to me

    Cons

Structure is sluggish. As with many parts of the civil service, things can't get done quickly. This has a knock on effect of curtailing innovation, and whilst the people were dynamic and enthusiastic, they did not seem too hopeful of their ideas being implemented quickly

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Try to move with the times and streamline some implementation processes to invigorate the workforce

    Recommends
    Neutral Outlook
    No opinion of CEO
