    Pros

Benefits are excellent, equipment is nice, advancement opportunities.

    Cons

Management holds different employees to different standards, nepotism is very prominent, employee moral is very low, very high turnover rate.

    Pros

    The benefits are okay.
    Good contracts with municipalities.

    Cons

No training or education provided. The company has its own "school" that they make you pay for job-required re-certifications.

Supervision and management don't care about their employees.

Not equal pay for equal work.

Supervison and dispatch favorites their "friends" instead of treating everyone equal.

Dispatch has no clue what they are doing.

Shady business practices and shady medical billing.

    Low wages.

Will retalliate against employees who know their stuff by "blacklisting" employees from other agencies because they are losing too many medics to higher paying and better employers.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Fire current supervision and management. Fire incompetent employees. Replace outdated medical equipment. Supply employees with properating equipment. Increase wages.

    Cons

They so called supervisors are BASICS- like they know anything about EMS. The favoritism is ridiculous- they let their buddies work outrageous amounts of overtime, and screw everybody else. The HR polcies are a joke- only a company with less morals than a street ho would can somebody when they get hurt on the job, or have serious helath issues.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

try hiring somebody with gives a crap abou thteir employees

I worked at Community EMS full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

    Good benefits if full time
Lots of overtime if you want it
They'll hire you (even if you don't have a license!)

    Cons

    Overworked
    Poor management
Raises based on attendance rather than performance
They'll hire anyone regardless of competence
    HR is a joke
Supervision can mandate holdovers up to 2 hours
    Dispatch is clueless
    Incredibly low morale

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Restructure everything
Plan ahead for days you KNOW will be busy, don't wait until the day of to ask people to come in
Rid supervision of God complex and encourage them to make they're own decisions (how is that possible, right?)
