    Pros

    Located in community near home
    Fair benefits

    Cons

Money driven at a deep level
Flexes staff to deeply causing problems
Politics seems to be a key factor in roles

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Be loyal to your employees. A bonus is not as important as patient care.

    Pros

Hours, Staff, Management. It is all very good. The work flow is good, the pace of work is good, I am allowed to use my brain to solve problems. it is all good...

    Cons

Once the defined pay ceiling is met you are stalled there for years. the job is well defined and structured. There is stress but it is not over the top or too much.

I worked at Community Health Systems as a contractor (less than an year)

    Pros

Hectic yet easy-going enough that you are never to blame for things out of your control. Great pay (consultant). Many people come and go and can't handle the pressure, but if you're a highly capable ace of your trade with a proper work ethic you should have no problem doing what is necessary.

    Cons

On-site requirement Mon-Thurs despite most work in certain roles can easily be done remotely. Seemingly high lack of solid plans leading to worry, but everything always worked out one way or another.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    They know what they're doing.

I have been working at Community Health Systems full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Fair and consistent management, tuition reimbursement, good pay, good benefits, 401k match, nice perks for hospital week and other holidays.

    Cons

Lots of turnover due to so many competitive health care providers in a small area.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Lots of meetings with lots of upper level team members often lead to nothing. Lessen the meetings and let the directors be on the floor with the staff and patients for better quality care and more respect.
