    Great people to work with.

Management is totally out of touch with reality, and makes working conditions as difficult as possible.

    Pros

Very little to speak well of. If you get in on a good group of co-works it is the best.

    Cons

They don't keep their promises, Pay is lowest in county, Always shuffle going on in management its hard to keep it straight. When things go bad upstairs they take people down with them. Don't get to "big for your britches" the ones that raised you will knock you down in a heart beat. Favoritism. lies. unfair schedule. PAY SUCKS.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Train more in every department. Better pay. Open your eyes, look around we are all leaving for a reason.

I have been working at Community Memorial Hospital

    Pros

The teamwork here is very good. Everyone is friendly and helpful, even when it is extremely busy. I have never worked with better people!

    Cons

Because it is in a pretty rural area, the pay is below average, even for this area. The benefits are not that wonderful either, but if you want a wonderful work environment, this is it!

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

I believe employee retention should be a priority. I have only been here a short time < 3 months and already 2 people have left due to better pay and opportunities in communities not far from here.

I worked at Community Memorial Hospital

    Pros

small enough to get to know most of the other employees, easy to learn the facility layout, good opportunity to dabble in multiple specialty areas of care

    Cons

small family-like atmosphere also means small town gossip, small facility so high acuity patients transfered to bigger hospitals limiting learning opportunities to lower acuity levels

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

listen to your staff. Healthcare workers go into the business because they want to care for people. While the bottom line is important, your employees are more interested in adequate staffing so that they can take really good care of those patients--who are often their friends and neighbors.
