    Pros

Great co workers and management team. I loved the respect I got. Very organized company and actually care about it's employees.

    Cons

More hands on training and computer training, more cross training. More sales training for the sales team, a less complicated computer system.

    Advice to Management

I enjoyed my time working for the company. Keep doing what you are doing. I wish there was a store again in my city. I had the best time of my life.

    Pros

absolutely none. This place is a joke. they'll decrease your base salary to 18k/year after the training period or when you start making more than $1600 gross/month.

    Cons

Everything. You dont make anything there, irregardless of what they lie to you with. They want you to make a minimum number of outbound calls each today to random people that have ordered from Tiger/Compusa in the past. Any decent or good leads they take from you can give to senior sales people. they'll raise your expected weekly sales every week based on prior week sales. within 6 months you're expected to be bringing in 50k-100k monthly and when you dont perform 3 weeks in a row, they fire you and lie to unemployement saying you quit to screw you out of your benefits. Make sure you fight it and request a hearing in person, they dont handle unemployement themselves, they outsource to a legal firm that doesnt show up.

    Advice to Management

Get insurance. Your current business practices are going to get you burned.

    Pros

discount for employees is cost, but only one day per month. Looking at the profit/cost on some major items there is no benefit for the 12 times per year discount. Large items are already discounted to lowest possible level for consumers. How is this company making any money other than persecuting sales associates into barraging customers into buying extras they don't want or need????

    Cons

the sales guys i work with are the best. Managers are quite condecending and have little experience with understanding the heartbeat of customers and the process of getting a sale. Too many dropped commissions. They take away sales for the smallest reason. Feel like i'm working like a dog for very meager compensation.ownsides of working at CompUSA.

    Advice to Management

You treat your managers like dogs and it rolls downhill to the emplyees. Is this the way to run a successfull organization???

    Pros

You can learn about new technology or products the out in the market.

    Cons

Comp USA is a great company to work for starters that just coming out of IT school and interest to learn more about what's new in IT Technology, but downsize are limited to learning and moving up the ladder.

    Advice to Management

Management need to understand what are the customer needs when technology is involved. Most of the time customer are forced to purchase things they really don't need and when it comes to honoring a product insurance it should not become a problem.

    Poor management control
Too much merchandising focussed for sales staff
No Training when I first started, I had to learn on the job by trial and error
Health benefits only available after 6months and if you take any time off sick you are persecuted
