    Great people to work with!

    Anonymous Employee (Current Employee)

ProsGreat company that is always looking for ways to improve and listens to employees.
It's hard in pharmacy to always find a good work-life balance, but they offer great flexibility.
They are always looking for ways to grow and expand and improve their customer service.

ConsMost employees are contracted at different hospitals and contract renewal concerns are always present in that situation. You don't have any say in those negotiations, but they always try to stay very competitive and make contact with the facilities regularly to help minimize any unaddressed concerns.

Yes, I would recommend this company to a friend – I'm optimistic about the outlook for this company

Good co-workers, bad management, high turnover rate

    Pharmacy Technician (Former Employee)
    Tewksbury, MA

ProsMost of the pharmacists and technicians were hardworking team players.

ConsMorale is low. Management is constantly making changes to the work flow to speed up productivity, not always for the best. Schedules can change without much notice. In the short time I worked there, I had seen roughly 25 workers quit (80%) or be terminated (20%).

Advice to Senior ManagementHire proficient leads and managers with experience, not because of favortism. Understand, that employees have families or second jobs and cannot change their schedules easily.

ProsThere are nothing good about this company but yet the brag a lot on pharmacyweek magazine!

ConsEverything - poor management, pay like crap, no accountability at all. Director once said: "If you don't like the pay here, then work the the burger joint cross the street"

    Overall disappointing

    Pharmacy Technician (Current Employee)
    Colton, CA

ProsFlexible with schedule demands for time off, or school related activities (depending on who makes your schedule)
Able to call off with out severe consequences.
Many employees are friendly, and give you a 'home away from home' feeling.
No real supervisor to 'get on your case' about slacking off at work.

ConsMany employees slack off, and disappear from their work station for up to a whole hour at a time (not including lunch break).
No management to assist in work flow of pharmacy (outpatient or inpatient)
No scheduled relief to accomidate employee breaks.
Dramatic increase in busyiness, with no added support from management.
No printed, or designated outline of duties/responsibilities for any shifts.
No consideration for accomidating a sleep schedule. (will give you a turn around shift every day of the week if they need to)

Advice to Senior ManagementYou should have at least one lead tech to micro-manage both outpatient and inpatient pharmacies, on a 24-hour basis; to assist with spontaneous problems, and workflow when business picks up. Also, more technicians/clerks should be scheduled as a 'swing shift' to help accomidate work load.

    Pharmacy Technician

Lead Pharmacy Tech/Pharmacy Purchasing Agent (Current Employee)
    Dallas, TX

ProsComprehensive Pharmacy Services offers great benefits and appreciates their employees. CPS values employee input and there is huge room for growth. They have a multitude of scolarship and employee programs.

ConsCopmrehensive Pharmacy services requires you use your accumulated paid time off for holidays. Although I will say that this is included in an increased accrual rate.

Advice to Senior ManagementManagement at Comprehensive Pharmacy Services is always willing to listen eagerly to emplyees with ideas and genuinely cares about their employees as people.
