    Pros

Received a fair, market rate salary. I was able to learn in big enterprise environment.

    Cons

Discriminating environment for the favor of senior guys. Extremely lots of work. Low compensation for on-call and overtime.

    Advice to Management

Judge the employees based on their knowledge, teamwork and approach to others.

    Pros

Large player in the industry therefore opportunities will not be missing to move or learn some new technologies

    Cons

working for an outsourcing company where everyone is scared of their own shadows. It is a company money driven where you will be just a number. Results or the number of hours you work will not count much if economically they have to cut the fat...

    Advice to Management

Confidence and trust to your employee will go a long way for everybody to achieve success

    Pros

Multiple locations with many clients to work with

    Cons

Too much of a money grab from clients not shared with staff only with Senior Management.

    Advice to Management

Share more with the staff who do all the work.

    Pros

The people at the work sites have a lot of knowledge. It is a good place to learn a lot.

    Cons

This company rarely gives raises. I have been at Compucom for 4 years without one and everyone I have talked to has had the same experience. Most say that the only way to make more money is to get experience here then go somewhere else.

    Advice to Management

Stop telling employees that the company is having a hard time, so no raises. Then a week later post the company profits for the last quarter as an outstanding quarter with profits up xx million.

    Pros

Clients offer opportunity to work in high tech environments

    Cons

Corporate culture is dismal and completely detached from the reality of the associates. Doomed to fail unless radical course corrections are made.

    Advice to Management

Listen to what your associates and first level managers say without dismissing them. They are what makes the company succeed.

    Pros

Compucom may be an okay place to start if you are just out of school... if you are desperate

    Cons

Compucom has no room for growth, no pay raises in 5+ years. Management is abusive and / or incompetent. They always react putting out fires, never thinking ahead. Compensation is low end of the scale for the roles you are asked to perform. You can change roles but your title is always the same and, it is a "lateral move" with no changes in salary but always more work. I have not had a review in the 5+ years I have worked here. This place is a revolving door.

    Advice to Management

Please recognize good people, and reward them. Tell the truth, and be respectful of your employees, as you would have them be of you.

    Pros

Besides negotiating a great wage, what I can see from the company so far there are no Pros.

    Cons

There is no communication in the company. When I was hired I had to consistently call to see if I was to get an offer or not. Should have walked away at that point. Current position, the manager does not like their job and staff do not respect them either. Management is out of the loop of what really happens, has no idea what really goes on. When in state of crisis there is no communication unless you track it down yourself.

    Advice to Management

Get a communication specialist in the organization to get you setup so you know how to properly LISTEN and supply relevant information to your associates. Or any information for that matter.

    Pros

The only thing that was positive about compucom was the working staff. Not the management but the employees. They try every day to make a bad situation better without the help of the company

    Cons

Very poor salary. management is out of touch with the employees and does not want to hear anything negative. Cannot see the big picture and will lose accounts. some things you buy at the dollarama store and you know it is only worth a buck so you are okay with that. Technology definitely should not be done by dollarama. There is a reason that the big ones are still around. IBM, HP because qualtiy processes will show themselves

    Advice to Management

quit worrying about you backsides and the account and give constructive advice,. Being a yes man does not make a good leader. You hire good people and then take there advice not manage them to death.
