I worked at CompuCredit full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Worked there for 2 years after the buyout of Providian Financial. I was in the collections department as a manager and had a lot of opportunity to grow and develop. Great management and drive. Stay on your toes!

    Cons

Not all ideas made it to the top - even great ones that I believe could have been game changers. Typical politics as in any big corporate gig.

    Advice to Management

Stay close to front line employees.

I worked at CompuCredit full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

A very relaxed company, I had one on one training. Everyone there is always willing to help.

    Cons

One of the main perks I liked about CompuCredit/Atlanticus was you could work whatever hours you want as long as you do your 8 hours. Also, we could work from home 1 sometime.

    Advice to Management

My manager, when I was hired back in July, 2013, was a person that took time to explain things to you. She was a person you could ask questions and always had any open door policy. Most of the managers here had an open door policy.

I worked at CompuCredit full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

I was in a good team, in a good working environment.

    Cons

They renamed to be Atlanticus now, but still try to use the business model that brought them success 10 years ago. It is not growing, which means not much growing opportunity inside the company.

I worked at CompuCredit full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Great compensation, smart co-workers, very little hassle and no bureaucracy. The company expects you to be available, but the general hours kept are very family friendly.

    Cons

The one con that I think is apparent to many who work in the sub-prime markets is that there is a lot of regulatory oversight and that means that there is added stress to any normal workday. The regulatory environment introduced a lot of uncertainty.

    Pros

Before the economy went bust, there was potential to move up in the company no matter where you started at.

    Cons

Affected by economy. Closed almost all it's offices, even overseas.

    Advice to Management

Do your research if you are looking to join this company.
