Pros
They were ideally located. There were only 4 or 5 people in the entire company that were willing to help you understand the job/company.
Cons
No training whatsoever (even though they'll rave about their "training"), they hand out titles like it's free cereal samples, so much red tape it makes your head spin, everyone has the "it's not my job" attitude even when you're only asking them who you should ask on how to do something (refer back to my lack of training comment), management can have personal lives but you can't, etc. They make themselves seem like this huge corporation, when they're more like a mom and pop start-up. It's like watching a little boy try on his daddy's pants.
Advice to Senior Management
Just go ahead and wave the white flag now and get bought out by ADP or Paychex, because it'll eventually happen.
Pros
Pay was decent for the area.
Cons
Unprofessional employees, a "throw you to the wolves" mentality, and a frantic pace of work, loud and impersonal office (cubicles)
Advice to Senior Management
Be honest with employees, give accurate job descriptions before placing people, stop micromanaging-this would lead to confident and happier employees.
Pros
If you like working for a small company with very no sales training, no ongoing training, and being micromanaged than this is the place for you.
Cons
No training. Management has no clue. No competitve advantage over the bigger payroll companies. You will be micromanaged. Wanna be payroll company. The only reason you want this job is to get outside sales experience so you can move on to something different. The sales management is composed of recruits from the 2 big payroll companies. This place is a small company who can't compete.
Advice to Senior Management
Let your company be bought out by ADP or Paychex.
Pros
If you need an entry level position with not much support and want to get your feet wet.
Cons
Lack of management support and training. Lack of leadership skills from mid to higher management.
Advice to Senior Management
