I worked at Computer Sciences Corp full-time (more than 8 years)

    Pros

I work well with the team that I supported for eight years. I enjoyed the environment they help me pay for my schooling and I was promoted several times.

    Cons

When they decided to downsize due to budget cuts in 2010 I got only one day notice to get all of my belongings and leave the facility. I think that was unfair treatment after eight years of service with CSC.

I have been working at Computer Sciences Corp full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

The pay is decent and its a good place to learn skills to support large business applications.

    Cons

They have been attempting to reduce expenses by systematically scaling back as many existing benefits as possible.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Sending signals to employees that they are not valued by leadership can significantly impact the quality and efficiency of both output and of the employees that stick around.

    Pros

Good Work environment and people are willing to help if you need one.

    Cons

Benefits are not that good. Not employee friendly.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Need to look at the benefits and make them more employee friendly. Especially the vacation and other benefits.

    Cons

Worked on a high visibility, high value account. Mgmt would bend over backward, causing undue stress on employees.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

I worked at Computer Sciences Corp full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Great project management experience working for the new business group. Some of the best project management practices I have seen in a company.

    Great training opportunities

    Cons

They do not compensate their employees enough. This is probably due to competition form shared services being off shore and cross the county where there are different costs of living.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Compensate your employees better. I was once told by a senor manager the only way to get a good raise in CSC is to leave and come back.

    Pros

They offer 5 days of family emergency leave if traveling 400 miles or more. This was a nice benefit when my grandmother passed away.

    Cons

The company is really cheap. Two weeks after I started, they gave paid holiday for Christmas Eve, unless you had already entered vacation for that day. How would that make you feel, that many people get a paid day off, but you had to use earned vacation?

Also I am on my third year with no raises. At my previous job, I received 3% every year plus a bonus one-time 6%.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Don't be so cheap. At least be fair with policies.

I have been working at Computer Sciences Corp full-time (more than 10 years)

    Pros

Historically, a great culture, sales teams, smart, customer oriented employees with honest, ethical and transparent leadership. At the lower levels of the organization, these (somewhat) still exist.

    Cons

The list is endless....endless work hours, salary freezes and reductions, no bonuses (except for executive management), reduced benefits (PTO, healthcare, etc.). The (new) leadership has gone through extensive turnover, churn and lacks transparency, business ethics, concern for the individual and "hangs on" for their payout when their tenure will (likely) end. The so-called transformation is failing, as indicated by the significant reduction in headcount, revenue and customers. As the stock price increases so does the addition of inexperienced leaders, cronyism and lack of transparency. The few bright young stars that remain, or join, are overworked, underpaid and all with the idle promise of a future, but moreso the constant fear of being terminated. I'm confident those who read this can/will, or at least should embellish this, as the unethical behavior and misalignment of the leadership team cannot continue, or the company will not sustain...at least independently.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Sell the company, or take out the real culprits (without a parachute). You don't have to look far, Mike,
