Comverse Technology Systems Engineer in New York, NY:   (Past Employee - 2006)

    Pros

If you're desperate for work in the Boston area, you can consider CMVT.
If you're in sales and have a strong set of contacts, CMVT does value it's sales organization.

    Cons

No more publicly traded stock. No NYC office any more. No US based Research and development any more. Significant traveling, because most of the clients are in Europe, Middle East, and Africa. The company is very Israel centric. More than 60% of the employee base are in Israel while it accounts for < 10% of its revenues. Your job lives and dies based on politics in the Israel main office.

    Advice to Senior Management

Suck it up and admit to the backdating shananigans. Clean up the books. There is still a large messaging market that can be leveraged. Put real money back into R&D. Get out of thinking that cmvt is a Israeli company and redevelop a global osition
