    - People are like family
    - Started focusing on the new new technology and innovation
    - Managers encourages there employee a lot
    - Appraisal system is very much clear

    Cons

    - Employee retention policy is very bad
    - Salary for the senior software is very less compare to the current market
    - 100% process is not followed in the real place
    - Variable pay is very high though company assures you to provide 100% variable pay

    Advice to Management

I would like to advice the management to focus on talent rather than hiring freshers from the big big institution. Because freshers from these colleges leave the company because of less salary/ higher studies.
Company needs expertise people in the product domain. But because of less salary experience people are forced to leave the organization.

    Pros

Not much remaining , most pros are obsolete now .

    Cons

    1. Poor Work Life Balance.
    2. Leaves are rejected and if granted then need to work from home during leaves and always available be on phone (It was circulated on internal mail few month before) like whole company acts as 24* 7 support division.
    3. Attrition rate is getting higher, lots of people have left and others remaining capable are planning to leaves and rest will stay till the company goes on.
    4. No KT or documentation provided , no one will review your code only thing matters is it should work that moment , code quality, design and tolls are simply ignored.
    5. They say open door policy but once you try to reach out , be prepared for poor appraisals .
    6. "Sir" keyword is mandatory otherwise be prepared for the coup and inco-operations.
    7. Politics and people with these skills are highly prefered
    8. Recently removed the Rs 300 phone bill reimbursement policy as it was too much to afford and want a business justification in case you want to use and have to separate between your personal and official calls , they have founded a panel to strictly review the same . Didn't get the effort wasted on doing this.
    9. Comparing yourself with a big gaint service based organisations will not put you on top, being and proud to call yourself a product company please compare with product companies .
    10. Internal Team swap, employee dip stick , employee surveys are myth.

    Advice to Management

    1. See how other product companies are and compare yourself with them .
    2. Encourage individual growth and retain quality and innovative people .
    3. Maintain work life balance .
    4. Define everybody areas of work and expect the same from them as most people on middle just delegate work to others .

    Pros

More floor activity and more recreations and team outing options. Only entry level engineers have time to enjoy this facility. Flexi timing.

    Cons

Entry level hiring is only for engineering and lateral hiring happens for other functions. This need to change. Entry level engineers have high attrition. This causes more work load on experienced engineers who are there for 6, 8 yrs +.Very few people who know the product well and puts tremendous load on those and difficult to get adequate leaves.

No growth for 8 yrs + engineers. They can be provided options in Product Management and other functions as they know product well rather than lateral B School grads.

Product Management need to get more involved not limit to only preparing ppts. They do not know to operate product or know any components and depends on engineering.

Everything depends on engineering only and not much distributed among other functions. Anything happens , engineering is pulled in.

    Advice to Management

Work life balance need to be given attention especially for Engineering and specially for experienced who are under load and work throughout the year without much breaks. Just need to check who stay late and come on weekends too.

During initial years it was taught to us to have effective logging and troubleshooting so that to minimize onsite travels and be able to understand problems from offshore. However, the recent trends is any thing happen, need to go onsite, sit for months. This is not healthy. It is just escalation management learning and not really healthy.

Engineers are under complete pressure. Once one project gets completed after putting day and night, immediately next project is in line and already delayed because the second project was delayed due to lack of resources. So the same team members have to put more number of hours immediately after coming on new project. This is causing health issues. Leads do not have options to go on leave also, complete dependency on leads. Please consider this point as humble request

    Pros

Update on financial performance of company

    Cons

Project Planning is missing. Compensation for senior professionals need improvement. Lack of adequate resources trigger project delays and long working hours ( weekend, stretch at night ) and is regular.

    Advice to Management

Need lateral hiring as Junior engineers stay as stop gap arrangement before moving for further studies, high attrition among junior engineers need to be analyzed as there are multiple other causes. Senior professionals are under stress and no work life balance. Compensation for senior professionals do not match the efforts and work load.

    6. Often sent to operators place for problem solving, which is the result of poor project management.

    Pros

Freshers - If you are lucky enough to get into a good team you'll learn more in 6 months than what you did in 4 years of your college!

Experienced - If you are good at office-politics, then you can have an awesome career with great work-life balance and decent money!

    Cons

If you are in support/implementation and hesitant to travel (to Africa), life could be harsh (loads of work and less money). [Well if you are open to travel to Africa, you could get your pockets heavy at-least! :) ]

If you are in a core development team, you won't regret much. You would get to learn a lot, get guidance from some really talented and inspiring people around you and have a perfect work-life balance! The only thing you might worry about is money..

    Advice to Management

Please work on retaining people and making sure that each employee is able to maintain a healthy work-life balance irrespective of the team he/she is in. A lot of brilliant minds have groomed the company and left because of management's reluctance to extend better benefits, lack of appreciation/recognition/promotion.

It has to be a collaboration of experienced people with fresh minds, not replacement!
