    Pros

Great benefits, good people to work with and great schedule.

    Cons

Not too many cons I can think of. The move from hourly to management positions could be streamlined.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Listen to the employees that work the deck plates and in the streets more. Some good ideas are just waiting to make the job easier for everybody.

I worked at Con Edison of New York

    Pros

Decent salary, some highly knowledgeable employees and management. Structured, stable employer. Great training.

    Cons

The politics is exhausting. Management likes stabbing each other in the back and ruining others' reputations. You will learn to cover your butt here. You will need to work during storms, sometimes for extended hours. Limited chance for promotions and high raises.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Communicate better. Be sincere. Some of your senior management cannot change their ways.

I worked at Con Edison of New York (less than a year)

    Pros

The training for this company was the best training I have ever gotten from any job, it is extensive in depth and very helpful. The company has so many opportunities for advancement and growth, the benefits are great, most managers and co workers are friendly and helpful.

    Cons

It is challenging work since the call center is very busy, and the pressure of meeting company standards is high, but it is doable.
