    Pros

Compensation plan was strong. The invested in facilities to upgrade safety and quality. Improved customer satisfaction over the time I was there by improving on time and full delivery and becoming flexible.

    Cons

mothership ConAgra was in constant flux and facilitated unneeded change in the divisions.

    Advice to Management

set a course. Plan your work, work your plan. Get the Ralston purchase integrated and under control. Be smart regarding lay offs so you do not lose native intelligence in a given division.

    Pros

Good starting point. Shows what not to do if you want to run and maintain a world class company.

    Cons

Worst QA/QC lab I have ever seen. No direction or purpose. Senior staff does not take responsibility for mistakes. Some really shady goings on with regards to production.

    Advice to Management

Man up and fix the outdated and broken establishment you call a company.

    Pros

They have a very competitive salary, especially straight out of college. Full work load and large amount of responsibility given very early. Lots of opportunity to learn and grow in management styles/practices.

    Cons

Work. Work. Work. My average work week is between 60-75 hours. There is no incentive for working past 40, as I am on salary. No bonuses in the lower career levels. I have zero work/life balance. I am dedicated to working knowing that it'll get better. Could not even think about having this job with a family. You would never see them. Great for young singles who are willing to grind hard to make it to the top. This is just a stepping stone. All of this work will pay off one day.

    Advice to Management

Encourage work/life balance amongst young employees. Add incentives for weekend work. Some sectors under the ConAgra Foods umbrella offer incentives for management on weekends; mine does not. Remember that young employees need a good work/life balance for their mental health and well-being.

    Cons

Reprimding employees when they need to be reprimded. Not letting employees get away bad conduct.

    Advice to Management

Give the employees incinatives without them having to pay it back in the end.

    Pros

Solid people - some of the best co-workers I have ever had Good Managers - most of the time they are very good Great Benefits - better than most Flexible work schedule - I do have time for the family. Sometimes at the expense of my career.

    Cons

Feel like I am never doing a good enough job - cant ever win some days. Your a number. If you have no expectations of your career you will do great here. you will work very very hard some days. crazy deadlines - almost stupid some days.

    Advice to Management

You have some very solid people on staff - don't blow it by running them into the ground with crazy deadlines and schedules.
