    Pros

Summer hours on Friday (Jun - Aug)
    Casual dress
Pay - slightly above average for Omaha market

    Cons

Lack of understanding of the need for routine admin tasks on systems --- think everyone should be working on projects vs. doing what needs to be done every day.

Out sourced help desk has caused more work for most IT teams.

Office environment is terrible. No assigned desk for anyone below manager, you maybe sitting next to a different person everyday, having starting installing long tables for people to sit at, no privacy to concentrate on tasks, office areas are noisy.

    Advice to Management

Ask the people that do the work what they need....not their managers and directors (they will just tell you what they think you want to hear). You are the IT department for a Fortune 500 act like it and quit running it like a cut rate call center; there is a reason why all your talent leaves. Don't be afraid to hire technical people from outside the company; they answer isn't to always to replace people with graduates from the Intern program. Provide a true anonymous feed back mechanism so you hear the truth.

    Pros

Company hires quickly now I know why!
It's like the Dog Pound they'll take any one.

    Cons

Working conditions are Hot and non workable but no body complains because they hire Immigrants who are scared to complain.

    Advice to Management

Sean Connolly new CEO better investigate the problems of the compoany. These are serious issues to contend with.

    Pros

ConAgra was a very positive place to work. Team oriented and family environment. Looked forward to going to work on a daily basis.

    Cons

Very long hours from time to time.Union which did not encourage people to work very hard because everyone was going to receive the same pay annually.

    Advice to Management

There is not much for me to say about ConAgra is that is to keep the same ethics and they will prosper and remain a very successful company.

    Pros

Location. Real, honest, down to earth production employees, decent pay (as long as you aren't educated it's acceptable), recognition program. Outstanding safety program. Leadership in corporate is far superior to plants.

    Cons

    Management.

How self important do you think you are? You are untouchable, above the law and untrustworthy. The people are the ones bearing the brunt of the work in a servant leadership model. What do you do exactly to earn YOUR paycheck? Benefits are so-so. And forget it if you don't have a degree-you'll be a grunt forever. Playing favorites are a part of daily life.

    Advice to Management

Open your doors. Be accessible to your employees. See the off shifts. Stop lying to employees and have open honest communication. Enough with taking things away, we aren't children in nursery school. Get involved and get to know your employees again, without them you are nothing.

    Pros

Flexibility in the workplace. Fair compensation along with a good work environment. Enjoy a hard working culture with good people.

    Cons

Med benefits are terrible. Only very high deductible plans that are expensive. Company focused to much on levels determining who is important and who isn't

    Advice to Management

Change med insurance to have a co pay option. Treat everyone as equals and really listen to everybody. Really work to fix problems that are suggested.

    Pros

Reasonable wages and benefits, It is a Job.

    Cons

They must be your family, because, otherwise you don't see home or family. 60 to 80 hours a week can be the norm. Supervisors are to busy trying to get ahead to work well with any team.

    Advice to Management

Quit taking your coworkers for granted.
