    Pros

Cafe food is ok Brush shoulders with celebrities if you are into that The WTC building is new Free products and clothes Neighborhood features good food

    Cons

Conde is politically and culturally bias: All Democrats Work life balance has a high reputation for being poor The company also has a reputation for bullying Its difficult to obtain a creative role at Conde and independent thinking is not encouraged unless you are speaking to elitist values, destructive personalities and gaslighting

    Advice to Management

Real people need jobs in order to sustain they are not born into wealth and luxury. When you fire real people it hurts them. When you waste talent it hurts honest workers. America was free before liberals told everyone they were being abused by the system and that money magically appears without a job.

    Pros

Huge opportunity for growth within all magazines. Great stepping stone, looks very good on a resume.

    Cons

Again, it's a big company, so a lot of internal politics and bureaucracy to navigate.

    Pros

Worked there for almost 20 years, absolutely fantastic. LOVED, LOVED, LOVED it.

    Cons

Only thing bad to say would be that I am not back there. I truly miss it.

    Advice to Management

Please consider some of us one time "lifers" to bring back.

    Pros

The best brands in the world. As a result, very creative people want to work there.

    Cons

Digital vision murky.Time and time again, the company hired and /or promoted senior-level people with little to no digital skills. Capricious decisions based on how much a brand editor or publisher would complain and escalate to CN president.

    Advice to Management

Hire more digitally capable staffers in every group: marketing, product, sales.

    Pros

Good people to work with. Good pay scale. High performers were rewarded. They offered a very good work from home program. For the many employees that were laid off (see below) they offered a generous severance package.

    Cons

The new CIO laid off 90% of IT and outsourced their jobs to India to primarily trainee level people. Those losing their jobs were required to train their replacements.

    Advice to Management

You did what was necessary for the company to survive the recession. I wish you well.

    Pros

Recognized the experience and knowledge I brought to the position I held and was compensated fairly.

    Cons

A couple of senior managers didn't have a clear vision for their direct reports regarding what was expected of them.

    Pros

Opportunity to work on a variety of digital, print and social media projects. Life long friendships established. People are some of the best in the industry.

    Cons

The publishing print industry is hurting therefore jobs are being lost as digital subscriptions are on the rise. Less employees are needed as print magazines fold in favor of digital issues.

    Advice to Management

Freedom tower HQ move was not the best idea. Move back to 4 Times Square!
