Former Employee – worked at Connecting Point Communications

ProsThis is a good place for people young in their career to learn about PR and gain as much responsibility as you can possibly handle in a short time. That said, you have opportunity for growth with title and salary reviews every 6 to 12 months (depending on the person). Because the employees are so young, it's a fairly flat organization.

ConsResponsibility is great -- if you can handle it. Once you reach a certain level, you will realize that the management does not know what they're doing, or is plainly outdated on industry trends on so many levels. The understaffed nature of accounts and the fact that minimum wage-paid interns are billed at extraordinary rates will make you feel sorry for the clients that are getting jipped. There are definitely smart people, but I witnessed so many instances favoritism, sexism and deceit that it becomes a negative environment.

Take the work experience as a resume builder and go work for a real company.

Advice to Senior ManagementTreat employees equally. Hire mid-level executives, not just entry-level and directors.

And interns should not be billed and doing AE level work; if they are doing so they need the title and raise.

No, I would not recommend this company to a friend
