Advice to Senior Management
have to do more to keep your younger employees happy. have to pay alot more to keep them there and encourage promotoion in london for london based employees (no expat assignments)
Pros
Safe place to work
You can move to good projects if you demonstrate your skills
Management is respectful
Good place to learn an gain experience
Cons
Low salaries
Bad bonuses
If you are in a bad project it is difficult to be known
Many layoffs in recent years. To much for a big company
Advice to Senior Management
Management is good but it is good they must think that people works for money, not just for being in a nice place
Pros
Money is good. Opportunity for travel to exotic locations. Interesting technical challenges. Cutting edge production tools.
Cons
Bartlesville. Some people really enjoy living theres, others find it to be too small of a town. Airport access to Tulsa is sometimes difficiult.
Advice to Senior Management
No real feedback to offer. They've had some turnover, now it is time to see how the new management team performs and whether they can compete with Chevron.
Pros
Strong Company and very good compensation package, there is a big change in management coming which should lead to a new direction for the company.
Cons
Autocratic, authority is kept a the most senior levels. Can't seem to put a strategy in place that lasts more than 2 years.
Advice to Senior Management
Give the staff some authority and you might be surprised at what happens. If you pay at the P50 then expect P50 performance.
Pros
Good Pay
Good Benefits
Managers are flexible
Great Houston campus with a nice gym and soccer field
19/30s are a big plus
Cons
Communication could be better between Senior Mgt and workers
Still struggling with the Conoco and Phillips blended culture since the merger
Advice to Senior Management
Please take the time to better communicate with the organization. We do not like suprises any more than you do.
Pros
Highly motivated, highly professional atmosphere. The company takes very good care of its employees.
Cons
Expect to work long work weeks
Advice to Senior Management
It would be nice to see more promotions from within the company.
Pros
Managers and co-workers are very nice and helpful, the work environment is friendly. Their pay and benefits are above average level.
Cons
No very diversity, not enough campus hiring.
Advice to Senior Management
Please try to hire more visa-holder if possible.
Pros
flexible schedule working environment good
Cons
houston large space training goods
Advice to Senior Management
strong character
Pros
Compensation and benefits are great! Opportunity to move around between departments if you know the right people.
Cons
Doesn't develop diverse candidates enough for advancement into management roles and doesn't do a good job of retaining top diversity talent. The leadership team at Corporate and within each of the large departments are still very homogeneous!
Pros
paid well if your an engineer, drilling and exploration expert, safety expert. Jim Mulva is the best thing that happened to COP. i would really like to see him carry on leading this company for many more years to come
Cons
if you dont have an engineering degree, you are treated like a adminstration staff...even if you have an MBA or a masters in any other dicipline. There is just no respect for your techinical skills if you are not an engineer. Salary's vary way to much between engineering, ops and maintenance There is way tooooooo much politics and way too many layers of management and not enough actual doer's / workers, its a real waste.
Advice to Senior Management
COP has very talented staff that work for them that are not engineers and they need to be treated just the same. Look at your next potential leaders and cut out un-necarry middle management.
