    Pros

Great plant associates at both Dallas facilities. Dedicated, motivated and reliable.

    Cons

Senior leaders above Plant Operations directors communicated with foul language and threats.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Learn to hire good people and trust in their capabilities. This is directed at the pre bankruptcy leadership.

    Pros

The people generally were good people who tried hard to do their jobs well. I enjoyed working with the majority of them.

    Cons

Decisions by senior management didn't make much sense at times. There were a series of 'temporary CEOs' who were only there to take the company to sale.

I worked at Constar International full-time (less than an year)

    Pros

most of the other employees feel your pain on the way they screw everyone

    Cons

well i had a supervisor grip me up, when i told him to remove his hands from my person or id remove them as he was jeopardizing my well being, he put me on report. the same said supervisor is still currently there, he also rewrote every employee review at my termination meeting in front of me, (the termination meeting was called because of a clerical error that he caused claiming i called out too many times in my first 90 days, as i had been there for over 100 days and he was found to be lying they put me on indefinite suspension for lack of grounds to terminate me), the company is run by the blind leading the stupid, the head of the company is an incompetent loaf that has no knowledge of how he runs the company into the ground, they have convicted pedophiles on payroll and claim to require a background check (they dont make him inform you and thats borderline illegal)

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

how about you actually adhere to the safety standards you preach, act like adults dont let supervisors lie cheat and destroy opportunities for junior employees, learn how to actually manage personnel and maybe you should all be fired so competent persons may take your position

    Pros

    Cons

Too many bankruptcies, lay-offs, consolidations causes continuous chaos and worry. Losing a lot of good people to the competition.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Figure out where you are going and how you are going to get there.

    Pros

The human resources can treat you like a person at times. This company can be enjoyable to work for at times. Constant hours and a steady long term schedule. They reward you for long term service.

    Cons

The company is going through hard times. The management doesn't know what to do with it self. Constant incorrect decisions that apply to the life of company are made. Overtime can happen in a flash and last for long periods. Lack of experienced workers due to company management is quickly sealing the fate of this company. The company is now implementing new surveillance
systems that are starting to make the company feel like something out of Fahrenheit 451. Safety is sometimes overlooked but is greatly being improved upon.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Listen to employees instead of just brushing off suggestions. Stop over managing from a desk without going on the floor examining the problems in person, or possibly even doing the job for a day. Time to look for another job perhaps?

    I worked at Constar International

    Pros

the only reason was that i was getting paid! The health benefits were decent. There were quite a few good people that worked for a bad company. The work was steady until the end of 2008. 12 hour shifts that we worked allowed for time off on every other weekend, and time off during the week days.

    Cons

its poorly managed, promotions were not based on merit but who you knew. no sick days, points were given when you missed days even for emergency situations. they often claimed that safety was the number one priority, even though there were many dangerous conditions in the plant. management was never open to suggestions. they would only listen if the suggestions did not conflict with production

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

would be a waste of effort, they do not listen. Senior management needs to take a good look at how they operate things. They are running the company into the ground.
