great team members, and opportunity to develop new skills
    opportunity to represent exciting brands

I have been working at Consumer Impact Marketing

    Pros

Great work-life balance, flexible, easy-going environment to work in
Mobility within the company is high, lots of areas to try out if desired

    Cons

Organization of company is on the weak side, with the flexible, easygoing environment comes easy going workers. Pace is slower than desired

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Satisfactory leadership, however, better communication would be helpful. When implementing a plan, management needs to re-enforce the objectives to ensure proper follow through.

I have been working at Consumer Impact Marketing

    Pros

Very good company with advancment opportunitiies. Many different clients and programs to suit different people.Head office in Toronto with regional offices across Canada.

    Cons

Economy has hit this company quite hard over the last few years. They have lost a few of their biggest clients in 2010.I am one of the many people who are losing their jobs.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Leadership works hard to secure new client to replace the ones they have lost.Having the head office located to Toronto tends to have them base the efforts in eastern Canada and not the West.

  9. Good culture- under paid

I have been working at Consumer Impact Marketing

    Pros

Young, vibrant and energetic work culture. Very casual atmosphere. Summer hours are a bonus. Management attempts to be involved, however does not micro-manage employees.

    Cons

Staff are generally overworked and extremely underpaid. Almost all competitors offer higher wages. Unrealistic deadlines often occur, and employees on the front line are often required to work overtime because of poor planning.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Promotions from within the organization are extremely limited. Promote your own first! Salary and benefits packages are below industry standards.

I have been working at Consumer Impact Marketing

    Pros

CIM offers flex-hours and has a good work-life balance. Provided you complete your work, there should not be an issue with management. The company provide an excellent oppertunity to learn several key industries and has natural abilities in expieremental markeitng and sales management. They offer good benefits and will pay for educational advancement.

    Cons

While there are various problems with CIM, I beleive that the lack of communication with Upper Management and avoidance of succession planning are probably there biggest issues. As a result of these issues, work quickly becomes demotivating and employees are just there to pick-up a pay-cheque. A lot of employees have an old wok mentality and like stretching two-days worth of work over a five-day week.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Communication and succession planning. Department/groups are VERY silo'd and there is very little communication between individuals
