    Pros

    Continental had great travel benefits and forward thinking in regards to technology. The co-workers there are fantastic and are "all in" for taking whatever measures necessary to keep the company moving in a forward direction.

    Cons

    Like some of the other posts; the salaries there are "known" to be far below the market for the 4th largest city in the USA.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Take better care of the talent you have and the company will continue to prosper; just the opposite if you don't.

    Great travel benefits and working rules. Great pay and co-workers were the BEST in the business.

    Cons

    Some short overnight trips and being on "reserve" for the beginning of my career as a Flight Attendant. Also, the company has completely changed and the service has gone down hill since merger with United Airlines.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    United Airlines name, reputation, and the inflight employees have damaged the wonderful reputation Continental had as a hometown airline! Continental had the best service and ground crews. Now with the injection and combination of the United employees, things have gone down hill. I am sad for the Seasoned veteran Employees who worked so hard to make the reputation for CAL and in one stroke of a pen from executives have ruined it by merging with UAL. The tail may be the same but the company sure isn't. The ratings below are for CONTINENTAL NOT United.

    morale can swing up or down. it was great with a great ceo (bethune) and lousy after that

    small profit margin means always counting the beans

    be more aggressive with early out retirement offers so you can cycle out your more senior people and lower your average labor rate.

    crews, bases, senior mamas. per diem is low, transferring is hard

    be realistic with newhires on how hard it is to find a place after training...maybe allow them to speak with other classes during training.
