    Pros

    Established processes, methodologies, Talent development

    Cons

Unaligned professionals especially externally hired employees and bias judgement

    Advice to Management

Have a tool where employees can air out their complaints especially if it involves their direct boss without worrying about s9meone getting back at them

    Pros

Great management, Great tools for managers, technology, Work at Home, Developing my agents, family virtual atmosphere, Convergys provided equipment

    Cons

Sometimes overworked, low pay for managers, communication sometimes is terrible.

    Advice to Management

Please review the trends in pay and adjust it for the current marketplace as the salary is a bit low for some of us with experience. The yearly raise percentage is a laugh in our face. We are running your business. The CEO should look into our business instead of not seeming to care.

    Pros

Tuition reimbursement benefit is better than other companies I've worked for.

    Cons

Gap between employees and senior management is huge. Lack of information sharing keeps employees in the dark and low morale.

    Advice to Management

Listen to your employees and make them feel like they can bring issues forward.

    Pros

Working in your PJ's, breakroom is very nice (because it is my living room), Easy job, All you have to do is show up and not be incompetent. If you try, you should succeed at Convergys.

    Cons

Pay is too low for the work. No real raise system. Repetitive work, constantly changing metric targets. some metrics completely out of control of agents, but still measured by. I was actually "promoted" to Coach and liked it. I assisted in training new hires. So increased responsibilities, but no increased compensation.

    Advice to Management

Starting hourly rate should be a little higher plus and/or reward people for staying by giving them legitimate raises. Quit changing metrics constantly, especially metrics that are out of control of the agents like call repeat rate. When making someone a coach they should get a raise, even if it is only 50 cents an hour more. Add more Incentives, especially if the hourly rate isn't going to change.

    Pros

    1) Their learning and development team (which I was a part of) was fantastic--collaborative, creative, can-do.
    2) Because the company has so many clients the work was always varied; no two projects were ever the same. No two days were ever the same.
    3) Working with a globally-dispersed team on most projects was a great experience.
    4) Management was flexible, open to ideas, and does not micro-manage.
    5) Work hours, while generally long, were flexible. The emphasis was always on getting the work done, not necessarily where it was done.

    Cons

    1) By nature, not an innovative company. So there was not much management enthusiasm or ability for investing in new learning technologies. This is not a "negative" as such. It's simply a result of the company's business model. But the result was we often did/built far less than we could have.
    2) Generally pays below industry standards.

    Pros

Good for those looking for experience or need a salary boost.

    Cons

Long term employees are burned at both ends and discarded. No loyalty from executive team and CEO, while they bring down 7 figure salaries.

    Advice to Management

Start thinking about the thousands of people who work throughout the company and their needs -- personal and salary.

    Pros

Good people to work with, Steady work

    Cons

Consistent threat over being fired for no reason (all management emails always ended with "up to and including termination")
    Constantly yelled at
Schedule changes at last minute and you are never informed (I had a day off they counted me absent for, because the schedule changed at 1:00 am and the shift was supposed to start at 6:00 am)

    Advice to Management

    Value employees
Treat them like people with respect and productivity will increase exponentially
