    Pros

Definitely the pay 10.00 an hour plus bonus checks

    Cons

Schedule is never consistent, point system is jack up. If you miss a day of work due to emergency and you bring a legit excuse for example a doctor's note you still get a point. If you miss more than one day and bring a doctor's note they roll it into one point. So not getting a point is impossible even for legit reasons. Management is terrible.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Train the coaches better, 3 different coaches will inform you on three different things so you never really know the right way to handle things.

    Pros

Benefits PTO, UTO, Corporate discounts, Job growth, you can really make a career of it, pay for performance, and Holiday pay is double pay, PLENTY of over time most of the time mandatory!

    Cons

Micromanagement, as a work at home agent the supervisors are constantly hovering over you!! Poor work life Balance, they expect work to be your life with not much time for anything else. Low Starting wage.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Stop micromanaging!

    Pros

Interesting project, great team leaders, above average salary and bonuses, advancement opportunities

    Cons

A week of training is not enough, equipment broken, open seating (have to share a headset with the last sicko sitting in your seat), and what else can I say except it is a call center so the job is stressful and at times repetitive.

    Pros

They DEFINITELY compensate you for how much you want! If you want to sell at every call, they compensate you if you make a sale. The people: my coworkers and supervisors were amazing! Great holiday and overtime pay too. You can really move up in position within months.

    Cons

Customer attitudes vary far and wide. You must be patient and product/account knowledgeable! Also, not EVERY caller will want to buy. If you need help, it is sometimes hard to come by for a supervisor on busy days. You have to learn quick! This is an outsourced company, so the big man (BIG telecommunications company) pays the middle man (Convergys) and then they pay you minimally because the middle man is getting paid coins.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Human Resources and upper management that were not on the floor needed to be more personable. On all encounters I had with HR, I was not satisfied.

A college students dream job as a customer service rep

    Pros

This company offers flexible schedules for the average college student. I was able to work this job full time while able to attend college full time. Coworkers were diverse with different cultures and backgrounds; easy to make new friends/associates. The training provided was paid for 2 weeks. Almost free money when On days when call volume is low. 30 minute lunch break and two 15 mins breaks.

    Cons

Advancement depends on popularity/favoritism. Even if one advances from customer service rep to supervisor or management, demotion can occur at anytime due to call volume, loss of employees due to high turn over rates, or change in project. This job isn't for everyone must be able to deal with irate customers and minimal raises from starting pay rate. This is not a career but a job.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Reduce turnover with higher pay rate and annual/biannual evaluations with matching raises.

    Pros

Great job and skills experience. Resume building for future employment. Many projects allow you to represent large companies around the area.

    Cons

Advancing your career may be a struggle. Leadership positions are sometimes dissolved and covered by existing managers from other projects.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Try to help employees realize more of a sense of belonging to an employer taking them to stronger future proofed "room for advancement" positions. More leadership opportunities need to be available for tenured employees to allow a company to become more skilled and grow.
