High stress, Constant "flavor of the month" atmosphere

    I worked at Convergys full-time

    Pros

Great job and skills experience. Resume building for future employment. Many projects allow you to represent large companies around the area.

    Cons

Advancing your career may be a struggle. Leadership positions are sometimes dissolved and covered by existing managers from other projects.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Try to help employees realize more of a sense of belonging to an employer taking them to stronger future proofed "room for advancement" positions. More leadership opportunities need to be available for tenured employees to allow a company to become more skilled and grow.

Opportunities for advancement into Team Lead positions available, some support staff advancement available

I have been working at Convergys full-time (less than an year)

    Pros

Great training (5 weeks plus 2 weeks of "transition" period), Great benefits and pay for the experience needed to get the job, easy job if you have thick skin when it comes to being verbally abused for 8 hours a day.

    Cons

Management refuses to take customer escalations until the customer has asked 3 or more times making them more angry, sitting at a desk 8 hours a day does a number to your sanity

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Focus more on customer service rather than sales... but I suppose that's more on AT&T's end and less on Convergys.
