    Pros

Real concerned about safety and the environment to the point of always being concerned about being sued all the time.

    Cons

A strong armed management style that is relentless in making a person feel two inches tall with constant but subtle verbal abuse tied with strong profane language. Lead relentlessly complaining over issues

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Time for a top down change?

    Pros

Good and competitive compensation, stable job if you desire it, medium-large company with opportunity for growth or promotion to management position

    Cons

Job is stressful, they overwork you sometimes 60-70 hours a week with very demanding orders, management does not satisfy workforce and their desires

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

There needs to be more incentive to listen to employees and work with them, they need to be more understanding and be less demanding of workload

    I worked at Cooper Industries

    Pros

High learning Curve, nice office location and decent pay.

    Cons

Pathetic senior management, no technical knowledge/insights from management, you are expected to know more within first few days of joining , compared to everyone who has been in the company for 10 yrs!

They hire people and fire whole teams after 3 months, saying that leadership has decided to move the entire team away from this location...is that a sick joke or HR has too much free time in conducting interviews for candidates, as they know that everyone just wants to leave the company soon?

In one word, run away, and join if you have no other option, as they will make you work like machines, pay like clerks and managers don't care about you, your life or shows any kind of respect.

    Pros

Learn how to grind a business and people for the highest profits.

    Cons

No acknowledgement for a job well done. Nothing is ever good enough. Morale is as low as I have ever seen a company be. Everything is falling apart. Every nickle spent has to be justified for immediate payback or it is no.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Think beyond the quarter. Invest in the business and in the people. Try to build a team.

    I worked at Cooper Industries

    Pros

It’s a strong and growing global company that is safety and environmentally oriented.

    Cons

Shameful treatment of employees. All level of management has a tendency to cuss, scream, and yell creating an atmosphere of intimidation. Too many F bombs.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

This goes for all tiers of management and senior management. “You don't show admiration to your employees when you curse, scream and rant, even if its’ not directed at them. Calm down and communicate with respect and stop cussing like sailors. Declaring that it a just a New York way of communicating is not excuse, it poor professional behavior.
