    Pros

    Great people... Great work atmosphere

    Cons

When moving to Colorado they hired new people off the street instead of retaining the more than qualified people that they had that need jobs to support their families.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Have compassion for your employees and work with them during difficult times not against them.

    Pros

Most of the time you don't have to work more than 8 hr per day. There is many help in any project that you require to do.

    Cons

most of the design projects will end up being outsourced. there are not many design projects, so not too much to learn. There is too much bureaucracy involved and that will slow down any progress

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Make the work place somewhere you employer wants to be.

I have been working at Cooper Lighting full-time (less than an year)

    Pros

Decent pay and excellent benefits since Eaton took over. Location is good as it's not in the heart of the city.

    Cons

Way overworked, not appreciated, internal processes are highly lacking, very micro managed, departments lie to each other instead of working together as a team to accomplish customer satisfaction. Lots of post sales issues that dominate daily time of getting new orders and quotes in. Systems that don't speak well to each other. Upper management does not seem to be involved enough so they don't get involved until it's too late. Inventory can not be relied on. There are no allocations done...the system is totally broken.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Start to get to know your systems and stop being reactive instead of proactive. Install a better way to keep inventory under control and accurate. Begin daily production meetings. Let your people do their job and stop playing Big Brother.
