    Learned a lot

    Anonymous Employee (Former Employee)
    Waukesha, WI

ProsQuick to change company culture when the leadership is driving it and "walking the talk". Lots of training available and job assignments with different functions if requested.

ConsNot enough people to get the job done as desired. Internal company-to-company business is almost treated as external suppliers. No shared pay ranges or scales so people in the same job have varied salaries.

Shy management, limited opportunity, a lot of politics!

    Senior Design Engineer (Current Employee)
    Waukesha, WI

ProsGreat benefits now such as subsidiary of EATON. Before they were just okay.

ConsLack of opportunity in some sectors. Some people get comfortable in their positons, don't perform and management don't know the work "development", they don't know how to drive people, managers without management background. They don't care about good and hard workers. Salary is not as good for the size of the company.

Advice to Senior ManagementDon't be too shy and be more active for your people. Make a group, built a team, have more contact with the individuals and they will perform better. Think out of the box, be a wolf and not a sheep.

They don't care about the quality of their products. Would rather send it to Mexico for cheaper labor.

    Anonymous Employee (Current Employee)

ProsPay, Benefits, Safety First culture but one little mistake and someone is getting fired.

ConsWant cheaper labor and won't care that the quality of the product will suffer. This will lead to lots of customers going to competitors

Advice to Senior ManagementGet rid of people trying to save labor money and worry about keeping your customers. You will make your money this way in the long run.

    This place is the Titanic

    Engineer (Current Employee)
    Pewaukee, WI

ProsSome friendly people within department. Work life balance

Constry to promote team work when there is no team left. they have all been let go and their jobs are now in Mexico where nothing gets done correctly. Great place to send your company if quality is not job 1 and you could care less about your customer base.

Advice to Senior ManagementQuit. Your running a good company into the ground. Sourcing everything from Mexico is not the answer and you are going to start losing your customer base. The amount of scrap Mexico is making on a daily basis should be your wake up call. If you stock holders really knew how much money you were wasting, your time would be cut short.

I would discourage anyone looking to make a change to stay away from Cooper/ Eaton. Current management is sucking the life out of what's left of this company. From an engineering perspective, it's great place to do an internship however, get your experience and leave while you have your sanity. Dealing with offshore Mexican teams is a pain. They are great people but don't fully understand all the processes to make the product to the customers expectations. Many of them have a Laissez Fairre type attitude when it comes to work and projects are constantly pushed back or delayed. If you are in a leadership type capacity like myself, it is reflected on your performance reviews- hence no merit increases.

    Time well spent

    Anonymous Employee (Current Employee)
    Waukesha, WI

ProsLots of opportunities to improve, develop and learn about different cross-functional activities. Most of the longer tenure employees were helpful to new comers.

ConsUnaligned management, too many projects and cost reduction versus quality importance. Limited opportunities for advancement unless you knew the right people.

Advice to Senior ManagementImprove work-life balance and don't focus on "Cooper Kids" so much.
