Pros – Great working environment. Working for a global company provides many opportunities. Good benefits. The company is a good corporate citizen with a strong focus on charity work.
Cons – Due to the economy and changes in the industry the company has gone through a lot of change. For the most part the change has been good for the overall health of the company.

Pros – New product lines and technologies, some great people to work with and average benefits.
Cons – Management cherry picking new "profitable" industries without having the correct resources to work on it. Poor morale within the company.
Advice to Senior Management – Look at the strengths and weaknesses of the company and focus on that to improve the company. Look at the background and education of the employees to see what they have to offer for the company. Stay within the realm of our expertise, in other words don't venture into newer automotive technologies just because it's related to automotive (seals, fluids). To become one of the biggest suppliers in 2013, what is the strategic plan and strategic execution to achieve this?

Pros – the way we are trained.
Cons – the way we are treated.. we have a lot of favoritism in our plant. we big in temps but really take time to train them..
Advice to Senior Management – that we are all treated equal, & not to jump on us in front of other people.

Pros – The only 2 reasons I have not left is that its close to home and my childrens schools.
Cons – They believe in working "more with less". They don't care about our opinions on how to improve working conditions. It's thier way or no way. All they see is if we make a mistake. There is no compliments given on a job well done. Moral at this plant is very low.
Advice to Senior Management – Listen to the people. Most have been there since the doors have opened. Stop running plant like a dictatorship and more like a democracy.

Former Employee – worked at Cooper-Standard Automotive
Pros – I was impressed with the comraderie within the organization. Also, compensation was fair, and the work life balance was pretty good. I was also impressed with the opportunities for promotions from within.
Cons – May be due to the industry being down as a whole, but stability within the organization was not the best.
Advice to Senior Management – Nothing really. Overall, management was pretty good and treated people fairly. Maybe just a little more communication.

Former Employee – worked at Cooper-Standard Automotive
Pros – Most people are a pleasure to work with. Some are to be avoided. While many people have been with the company for a long time, it depends if you were part of a prior takeover or are an original Cooper employee..
Cons – Auto suppliers live and die on the demands and requirements of their customers. Economic times are very tough right now in 2008 and any loyalty to employees is forgotten. Everyone is on edge.
Advice to Senior Management – I find it amazing that a Reward for years of service be given to an employee and then a few days later that same employee is walked out the door with no notice beause of a workforce cut back. While this may be the SOP for many companies today, it leaves many people with a bad taste for a company they were once proud to say they worked for. The "no notice rule" that is used today stinks.

Pros – The wages are good. The work isn't too difficult. The place is pretty clean. Most of the people are decent people and hard working. They are unionized.
Cons – Management keeps you in the dark. Communication is really bad between management and hourly and salary to salary. It seems salaried are working against each other instead of as a TEAM! The union is not very strong. There are quite a few people who need to be fired but are protected. I guess that is the downside of being a union shop. Management could be more appreciative of their hourly workers. A "nice job", or a "thank you" every once in awhile would go a long way.
Advice to Senior Management – Be more forth coming with information to your employees. Don't treat us like we are stupid. You may be suprised by sharing that we all may come up with a solution.

Former Employee – worked at Cooper-Standard Automotive full-time for more than a year
Pros – nothing is positive every thing is negative
Cons – management,hr department are the worse part of he company, top management bosses like to play politics. every body in the company is frusted no wlork/lfw balance managers call for work in Sundays without giving any compensation.hr policies are against the labor law employees are treated as a third class labours and dogs. lots of financial scams are with in the company. orders are given to the vendors based on the commission to the top bosses, without taking care of the quality .
Advice to Senior Management – if the company want to survive in India some top management from the USA should come and take a control on the company otherwise they will sell the company.
No, I would not recommend this company to a friend – I'm not optimistic about the outlook for this company
