    Pros

Good benefits, holidays, hours, automotive, engineering, coworkers, location,

    Cons

Management seemed to be stuck in the 60s. Lots of old school mentality. Lots of favoritism and rewards for suck ups and brown nosera.

    Pros

It has been a good place to work except for the last few years thanks go out great management.

    Cons

They can't get anyone to work here because of the two tier pay scale for the hard work unless your maintenance. You got it made then.

    Advice to Management

Get rid of the two tier pay scale.Your already saving money on not paying overtime with the 2-2-3 work schedule.

    Pros

It is still a good paying job for those of us that have been there for many years. The employees are friendly and supportive.

    Cons

It is very hard work and not worth breaking your back over for the pay that is offered. No one hired now will ever get to full pay and must work along side those who will make 10 to 30% more for the same amount of work. They have changed the insurance for new hires so that it is more than one can afford for the pay. The working conditions are not great. Upper management has no clue what goes on in the plant and there is a lack of communication inside as well. The floor supervisors can only do so much when moral is at an all time low.

    Advice to Management

Learn how to work with the working class. If it takes taking a psychology course then so be it. Barking orders will only get you so far before people turn on you.

I worked at Cooper Tire & Rubber full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

The Findlay production plant is an excellent place to gain manufacturing experience; the production workers are friendly and part of the steel worker's union. The location offers several advancement opportunities if the candidate is qualified and willing to be challenged with a new job responsibility.

    Cons

Ease of advancement lacks in smaller departments that rely on employee retention to continue delivering needed performance. Performance appraisals occurred yearly, with limited to no feedback throughout the year which made the process difficult for employees to make necessary changes if needed.

    Pros

Paycheck and a handful of decent people. That's it.

    Cons

Too many to list. Poor management, fraud, harassment, zero ethics, shady dealings, nepotism, etc.

    Advice to Management

Replace them all. Start listening to the "little" people.

    Pros

Decent salary for the area, plenty of hours

    Cons

Plenty of hours... They take forever to fill vacant positions and you're expected and required to cover the opening, even if it takes 6-9 months with no time off. Corporate has gutted the benefits and are trying to sell off the company as quickly as possible.

    Advice to Management

Get back to taking care of your workers instead of trying to increase the bottom line to sell off the company.

    Pros

The Industry and the people that you work beside in the "Industry". A small portion of your co-workers are great and will pull their weight.

    Cons

The culture is terrible. The on-boarding process is a complete disaster that leaves a new hire alienated and detached. The investment into other "house brands" is lacking, thus having a product offering that is both antiquated and not in demand. Middle management is not experienced to react. Senior management could care less.
