I have been working at Coram full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

Good pay, Great mid management (RSM's and Regional VP's), recently purchased by CVS and this has provided increased stability, and good benefits.

    Cons

I am in sales and the sales op's team in charge of commissions is not easy to work with. This would be my only gripe. They also have said one thing and then turned around and did something different on a few occasions. Which of course went to the benefit of the company not the employee.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

If sales is life blood of the company why is commissions our incentives so difficult to work with? Commissions should be monthly. And if countable sales are confirmed by sales ops, then they should not be taken away at a later time and blame the sales person for not doing their part.

I worked at Coram full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Not much to speak of on this subject. Paychecks are timely. Too much work and stress for what is paid.

    Cons

Senior management is always creating chaos. Hostile work environment. Too much work, not enough staff or resources to meet managements directives. Nothing is ever put in place proactively, always after the mess has occurred. Major micro managing on many layers.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Empower your people. There are qualified individuals that have the ability to do a good job.....let them. Keep the fire drills to a minimum. Less pointless meetings. Better tools and resources. Evaluate the goals and current expectations. Goals may need to change based on new processes and benchmarks.

I have been working at Coram full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

There are no Pros to this job

    Cons

Managers have no previous management experience and are managing clinical and sales staff. They are clueless about regulatory guidelines, and never follow up on any complaints by patients, MD's, case managers or hospital administrators. They give no input, and you have to be part of a "clique" to make it at this company. The RSM's only spend time in areas where they can use as vacation destinations. Most of the nurses they hire have no actual clinical experience. They tell you your average bonus is $5,000 -$10,000...... It's impossible to get any bonus...it's all a lie. You are expected to be on call 24/7

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Take leadership classes and learn about the licensed staff you manage....quality of care matters....not what your bonus is going to be. Adjust your compensation / bonus plans to match the work your employees put into their accounts

    Pros

Flexible with time off. Unfortunately, I feel as if this is the only pro in working with this company.

    Cons

Lack of training, poor management, very high turnover

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

The management does not value their employees and does not see the potential in each individual. It is very high turnover because the management has poor attitudes and are not very familiar with the ins and outs of the business. The employees run the business and management takes credit of their hard work.

    Pros

The concept of home infusion therapy is a great one, if your insurance covers it.

    Cons

They put sales above whats what's best for the patient. For the branch having 14 people in it, the level of drama is outrageous.

This was the worst position ever the training/on boarding was deplorable and did not occur until after 8 months time.

I worked at Coram full-time (less than an year)

    Pros

The work is in a clinical office setting with day hours, no weekends, no holidays unless you are on the Pharmacist on call. A great opportunity to learn specialty infusion if you get the proper training and mentoring.

    Cons

The office culture is very politically uncomfortable whereby you are accepted and assisted if they like you, and if you don't fit in with the clique, you can forget it. Furthermore, the on boarding and training is poor to nonexistent. Its safe to say that you must tag along and pick up the skill set as best you can because management will tell you that Coram will not spoon feed you. This may be fair and valid however one should at least be trained and given an adequate amount of time to become proficient.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Get it together at least for the patient's sake.
