Pros – Young company. Laxed corporate environment. Fast promotions. Relatively easy scope of work. Networking opportunities to Big Pharma. Benefits are ok. Vacation time is never an issue.
Cons – High turnover results in inexperienced employees at each position throughout the company. Most managers lack managerial skills and are too overwhelmed to care about employees. Senior management is too young and immature. Cliques are formed rather than quickly. Long hours are expected and are the norm, not the exception. Promotions are more about who you know than qualifications and if the person is ready for the position. Poor pay for amount of studies/tasks responsible at every level except entry level. Senior management does not care if you are overwhelmed they'll just keep on giving more work even if quality of work suffers then question why work suffers. Poor training for new roles/systems. Extremely poor technology, instead of outsourcing to experts the company relies on quick fixes from internal IS department. Poor integration between systems. Directors of departments point fingers rather than work as a team to fix issues. Low company morale. Sense that the company is not doing well and is always about to go under without any updates on progress.
Advice to Senior Management – Change one thing at a time rather than implementing several process changes at once. Listen to what your employees want. Pay more and the good employees will stick around. Stop attacking overwhelmed employees and give them the support and resources that they need to succeed.

Current Employee – been working at CoreLab Partners (formerly RadPharm)
Pros – Clear vision of the future, excellent benefits, fantastic group of employees in Rockville dedicated to customer service and providing the best support available.
Cons – Failure to look at investments in new technologies. Large cultural divide between Princeton (Radpharm) and Rockville (Medifacts).
Advice to Senior Management – Senior Management does not listen to or seek input from the general employees who do the work. Make major operational changes without seeking input from the employees who do the tasks. Spend some time in the trenches to learn the road blocks that are faced on a daily basis and invest in the infrastructure that is needed to continue to be innovative and provide excellent product to our customers.

Current Employee – been working at CoreLab Partners (formerly RadPharm)
Pros – Great people who generally care. Good work environment with good benefits.
Cons – Management has lost touch and not delivering. They don't seem to be available. Since the merger of a weaker company (Medifacts) with stronger (Radpharm) into CoreLab Partners it seems the better got dragged down while the weaker were only slighly lifted up. The CEO doesn't seem to be a strong leader and the rest of the management team fall short on communication. Lots going on regarding potential sale of the company but nothing is said leading to LOTS of rumors and concern. Lots of good people leaving as the rest are nervous.
Advice to Senior Management – Communicate! figure out what needs to be done to help people cope with the changes and then help.

Current Employee – been working at CoreLab Partners (formerly RadPharm)
Pros – RadPharm takes good care of the employees. All employees start with 4 weeks of vacation time. We have great 401k options. The health benefits are good too.
Cons – RadPharm is no longer a small family company. It is very corporate now. Forms for various purposes are being developed weekly.
Advice to Senior Management – Don't sweat the pennies when you are making millions. Employee moral will suffer when the work-place becomes to over-burdened with tracking the minutia.

Pros – good pay/benefit; may grow fast if you connect to the right people in management.
Cons – senior management does not know what they do. promotion depends on who you know in management, not your job performance.

Pros – Great people. Easy to move up if you are in with the right people.
Cons – Senior Management has absolutely no clue what they are doing. This goes for the immature directors to the befuddled execs. Communication is horrible. The company makes so many mistakes it is costing us money and studies.
Advice to Senior Management – Promote your middle management and fire yourselves.
