ProsGreat salary, good pay, always promoting within. Always have a chance too succeed, management always want too see you do better which is really good!

ConsThe phone database needs to be updated! A lot of the time your calling the same students more than once and that makes them lose leads.

Advice to Senior ManagementKeep doing what your doing! Helping people! :-)

It's about the students. Their success is our success.

I have been working at Corinthian Colleges full-time for more than 10 years

ProsPositive environment based on improving the lives of people who just need someone to believe in them.
Enough resources to do the job

ConsA for-profit college is certainly a different environment than a public institution, but the students who take advantage of what they are paying for get a great education.

Advice to Senior ManagementPlease try to increase budgets for the tech programs. We can't deliver the best training without the tools! A dedicated IT lab with current equipment and resources would benefit the students immeasurably.

Amazing culture, amazing people, amazing organization

Anonymous Employee (Current Employee)

I have been working at Corinthian Colleges full-time

ProsEncouraging atmosphere, team oriented, contributes to personal and professional growth, culture of fun and hard work, committed to company core values, great benefits

ConsMany people have a negative view of for-profit post secondary education, the parking structure was designed in a strange way, making it time consuming to get in and out.

Stable Organization equally committed to Values & Strategic Priorities

I have been working at Corinthian Colleges full-time for more than 8 years

ProsExperienced & committed executive leadership team
Company takes integrity issues & core values seriously
Solid benefits package
National company allows for a lot of internal transfers
Company culture revolves around putting students first

ConsProprietary education is a tough industry. For-profit schools are constantly under intense scrutiny and are always susceptible to regulations from Washington that are eternally changing. Also, because CCi is a publically-traded company, a lot of key initiatives must first receive approval from Board of Directors.

Thoroughly excited and sufficiently inspired but equally overwhelmed by gaps in training process & lack of commuincation

Anonymous Employee (Current Employee)

I have been working at Corinthian Colleges

ProsDiversity of staff and varied experiences across the board, and even more diversity within the student body. Solidarity among my peers who are simialarly new to industry and expectations therein.

ConsApparent lack of communication both top-down (i.e., management to director (supervisor) to new hires (self)) as well as interdepartmentally (i.e., Career Services).

Advice to Senior ManagementConduct daily or even weekly "check-in" meetings during the new hire training period in order to maintain a sense of unity and collective understanding across the team/department (ultimately of enormous benefit to the students whose needs we primarly serve) as well as to keep everyone, whether new to Corinthian or not, whether industry-experienced or entry-level (in the proprietary education field) up to speed with recent changes or upcoming events, etc.

Default Management Representative (Current Employee)

I have been working at Corinthian Colleges

ProsOpeness, Diversity and a sense of accomplishment when it comes to my work. Recognition and an overwhelming feeling of actually helping someone. A true testament to the company goals and values that have been established within the company.

ConsSlow Growth, and lack of upward mobility seem to be only drawback to the position. Management is trying to work on that as much as they can. Its a problem when so many great people work in one place. Everyone here, serves a purpose and is driven to attain the goal of giving no matter who it is 110%. I have never worked for a company that trust and believes in its workforce so much. Many companies say they do, this is the only one that I have worked at that practices this philosophy on a daily basis.

Advice to Senior ManagementNone. They know what they are doing. I stand behind them 110%

CCi lives up to its reputation as one of Orange County's "best places to work"

Business Analyst (Current Employee)
Santa Ana, CA

I have been working at Corinthian Colleges full-time for more than a year

Pros-You get to work with great people that are truly passionate about their work
-Management is very supportive of career growth & development
-Good work/life balance

Cons-CCi is in a heavily-regulated environment that does NOT have the best reputation in the market (for-profit education).
-Salary ranges are average to low-average. Though they are for-profit, it is still education.
-Recent layoffs have caused morale to drop.

Yes, I would recommend this company to a friend – I'm not optimistic about the outlook for this company
