Management allowed staff to take ownership of responsibilities and assignments
Valued hard work and determination.
Cons
Company sold to competitor, so Cornell is now part of GEO. Very different culture.

cornell corrections is good for advancement, timeoff and benifits. where i work we are going federal so the pay will get better.

the way the job is done gets changed everyday work is mentally tough the drama between workers is pretty heavy

put people who work well together keep family on the same shift give out more overtime so were not always in a hurry

Approve PTO once in a while. People do need time off for important things from time to time. Also, train people to do their jobs and stop hiring any idiot off the street.

close to home .overall job is very easy. most people at the facility are very professional.

hours very .haveing to work overtime .not being able get time off when schedual.lack of proper training.people not careing about other staff or inmates.poor attiudes.pay not engough compared to cdc personal.equipment not working or replaced in a timely maner.not hireing the best persons for the job

pay more attention to personel issues and overall apperance of the facility .most buildings need repair,and equipment needs to be upgraded or replaced
