    A great place to work!

General Manager (Former Employee) Chicago, IL

ProsPassionate people, great leaders and a fun atmosphere!

ConsExpect to work long hours in very busy stores. At the time I was working there, the bonus structure was getting harder to achieve.

Advice to Senior ManagementI hope they look into the bonus structure and a better POS system.

    It's okay.

    Server (Current Employee) Chicago, IL

ProsThey work with my school schedule, which is the reason I stay.

ConsPoor management. Pay isn't good, and staff only gets one raise per year, usually a raise of 1%.

Advice to Senior ManagementYou keep hiring for management positions outside of the company instead of moving employees up, making the staff and management apathetic. Much of the in-store management are just there for the money. They have no interest in seeing the store succeed.

They tell you that you can move up quickly...but you won't

Shift Supervisor (Current Employee) Chicago, IL

ProsGreat training program for the first two months. Very intensive.

ConsHorrible hours. Shift position is lowest on the totem pole. All nights and weekends.

Advice to Senior ManagementBetter pay and help those who work there move up instead of hiring from the outside.

    Great Atmosphere and Enjoyable

Expo Station (Current Employee) Chicago, IL

ProsEncouragement from management, good team environment, fun, busy, corporate structure keeps stress level low for hourly employees, good retention with many employees having worked for cbc for 10 years +, management understanding about family and life outside of work. upward mobility encouraged

Consif you need hours, you should have another job or own a direct marketing business due to fact that hours are cut when business is slow (although I like this factor).

Advice to Senior ManagementLeadership is great, and your positive feedback is appreciated. Awesome work environment!

Yes, I would recommend this company to a friend
