    Pros

Good work life balance and upper management support.

    Cons

No room for advancement. People stay in their current jobs so you can't move up.

    Cons

Very young hr staff no formal time mgt policies and the sr mgr is remote so there is a lot of unused time that could be used to implement better policies and procedures

Not a good place to work

I worked at Cornerstone Brands full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

Do not have to dress formal, can where jeans. They do have incentives to make extra money. Health and retirement benefits.

    Cons

Supervisors are not helpful. At one time they made it a rule to never call supervisor a second time if they don't answer your call the first time, then how do you deal with difficult customer then? I was fired because of that by the way. Lots of favoritism. As an earlier comment that someone posted you have to with the "In crowd" to get ahead. Those incentives they have to make extra money pay very little for what you have to do to get the extra money. They can raise the bar at anytime on your call quality. Today may be a good call next week they will change the policy without telling you and now your call quality is not so great. The majority of products they sell is junk and when mad customers call and give you a hard time, supervisors are not always willing to help.
Lots of work done off the clock also.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Be more helpful. Take charge. Occupy!
Stop changing policies so much. Inform workers when you do make changes.
Stop selling junk to these arrogant clientele you sell to. Workers don't see the products only what you show in the catalog just like what the customer sees. When the customer gets the product its nothing like the picture in the catalog, now how can the workers explain that?

I have been working at Cornerstone Brands part-time

    Pros

Ability to earn more money by meeting sales goals, compliance and average call goals. Ability to move up in the company rather quickly. Meeting new people, some of the customers who call in make the day fun and enjoyable. Good work/life balance. Not having managers breathing down your back. Learning more about the brands Friendly coworkers, free food days, opportunity to win prizes.

    Cons

One day you're being told to do something this way, by the next day that has changed and you weren't notified. Sometimes the best interests of the customers are not there. Stressful calls at times, sometimes leaders can be absent when needed the most. Customer services roles changing, lvl 1 being told to do less and lvl 2 doing much more.

I worked at Cornerstone Brands part-time (less than an year)

    Pros

I felt that the training was very helpful and fair to employees.
Great job for employee improvement and feedback.
Everyone was very friendly and committed to a positive, inclusive environment.
Managers were very fair and technical with no favoritism, which was really awesome.
Health benefits and retirement plans were fair.

    Cons

My only gripe is that if you have to look after your own health or a child's sickness, they either want you to find a replacement or basically just incur an unexcused absence (which will hurt your long term value at this company). They usually want a full staff, which is understandable, but sometimes things happen beyond people's control. There is a high turn-over rate.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Please find a better way to deal with employee health.
Include a better policy on attendance and sick days.
