FARM Team is a joke

Farm Team (Current Employee)
New York, NY

I have been working at Cornerstone part-time for more than a year

ProsWork around a bunch of really cool, creative people.

ConsI was once offered $25 for working at a concert all night in the middle of a snowstorm. Compensation needs to get worked out. My paychecks were always late and/or incorrect amounts. In 2 months, 3 project managers quit. Red flag?

Advice to Senior ManagementPaychecks need to come on time... Seriously. Get an HR department.

You could have better

Anonymous Employee (Former Employee)
New York, NY

I worked at Cornerstone

ProsGreat people who are passionate about music and culture. Opportunity to check out the best bands and go to cool events. Day starts at 10am.

ConsLow pay and benefits, ESPECIALLY for entry level employees who start their career there. 6-month-wait for healthcare. Accounting team in disarray (if it's the same accounting team that was there when I was). Disorganized, unprofessional, no structure, little to no communication between departments despite monthly meetings. Tends to suggest basically the same kind of campaigns to every single client, which means your projects will be quite similar.

The CEOs and upper management are intelligent, well informed and obviously successful. However they are lacking in management skills. They would benefit GREATLY from an HR department. It is clear that the company grew much too fast and did not install the necessary tools needed for a successful business (HR, benefits, etc.)

Advice to Senior ManagementTreat your employees better. If they've stayed with you all these years they probably deserve it.

Not the best place to work, but I guess hey that's entertainment

Anonymous Employee (Former Employee)
New York, NY

I worked at Cornerstone

ProsGreat group of peers
Great place to go to once you already have experience, NOT good for first job

ConsRidiculously low salary
Disorganized
Personality complexes of upper management

Advice to Senior ManagementReevaluate compensation scheme of employees
Since wages are so low, at least offer learning opportunities or some sort of value added
