Ultimately, if you can stand it you can make decent money

    Registered Nurse RN (Current Employee)

    ProsCompetitive wages
    Lots of overtime
    Gain good experience

ConsNot enough training for new staff, most new hires quit within a month
They burn out their seasoned staff members
    Lots of cliques in management

Advice to Senior ManagementTalk to your staff members, be fair, and let them know their opinion matters. Working in corrections is very hard, dealing with inmates and security.

    A good but political environment

    Anonymous Employee (Former Employee)
    Norfolk, VA

ProsStaff and home office personnel are friendly and helpful. Very straight forward as to what is required to be done everyday. Stay busy enough to where the day/sift is over before you know it.

ConsIs very fast paced and not a long time for training orientation. Have to be ready to hit the deck running.

Need to improve the training/orientation of both the HSA and DON programs to ensure success.

Poor communication between the executive and regional and site leadership. Executive leadership is more about making the client happy than seeing what can be done to support the site leadership and ensure their success. The client is NOT always right.

    A great company.

    Licensed Practical Nurse (Current Employee)
    Smyrna, DE

ProsBenefits and holidays are good when you compare them to other healthcare providers.

ConsLeadership problem at the regional and site levels.

Advice to Senior ManagementThey need to asses the leaders well before giving them authority to run sites or regions. Staffs can be educated and trained. But most of the people in the position of authority does not what it takes to run a home.

    – I'm not optimistic about the outlook for this company

    Horrible...

    Clinical Coordinator (Former Employee)
    Chicago, IL

ProsPay is high end to start. Accrue sick time and vacation time in a reasonable time frame. Enjoyed the autonomy. Relaxed work environment. Fast paced.

ConsZero leadership on site. Deplorable management hiring practices, Upper management is business oriented only. Their concern is not with employees or patients.

Advice to Senior ManagementTrain and monitor your leadership onsite.
