I have been working at Così (More than a year)

    Pros

People in the office are helpful and friendly. Efficient. And the biz is going up.

    Cons

Some residual minor problems in the previous management team. It can be really busy at certain period of the year.

I worked at Così full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

-Trained for an least one day for position -Managers that believe in the company motivate you to want more for yourself -Fun managers/staff=great work life Keeping busy allows time to fly

    Cons

-Sometimes cross training (for multiple positions) utilized to make most of employees to cut down on hiring more staff -Can be repetitive work if you do it long enough -Bad/apathetic managers/staff=miserable work life They will overwork you at some point.

    Advice to Management

A company still on it's way should have the time to grow and learn from mistakes, rather than encourage growth location-wise. This zealous growth hurts employees, especially those working the hardest. Maybe known to directors and

    Pros

Great place to learn, very fast pace prepares you for anything and makes u the best you can be! They really strive to have the best customer service. They have a fairly new CEO R.J Dourney who has great plans for the company if anyone can build this company he can!! Cosi is always looking to develop partners into management/ shift leaders, there really is alot of room to advance.

    Cons

Long shifts for managers I workes 16 hour shifts often. That being said, i did not have to work that long however I am the type of manager who likes to make sure my staff is setup before I go home. Labor goals are hard to reach if you dont spend alot(90%)of time on the floor actually working. They have changed concepts way to much. Cosi takes to long to get rid of bad managers, sometimes you should cut your losses sooner before bad management has a chance to effect a whole store/market. The pay scale is all over the place even in the same markets.

    I worked at Così part-time

    Pros

You learn to make bread from scratch. The company cares about freshness and quality.

    Cons

With most jobs like these, a lot depends on the attitude and professionalism of your manager.

    Advice to Management

Do not take advantage of hard working employees that do not speak up about pay for a long time, for whatever reason. If someone has been there a long time and you know they are an amazing worker and make less than average, give them a raise.

    I worked at Così full-time

    Pros

The people that worked with me were just amazing and easy to work with. My coworkers always tried to make every shift a worthy one of putting best effort forward

    Cons

Management was really tough on our crew sometimes, as they gave out harsh criticism and were very two-faced

    Advice to Management

Management, please try to train your employees fully, and try to weed out bad people who will not represent your company and what you guys stand for in the long run. It looks really bad to hire people with horrible character.

    Cons

Not much opportunity to grow, hard to get more hours, can be very hot, management can be difficult at time

    Advice to Management

I worked at Così (More than 3 years)

    Pros

This company has great people, who care a lot about the business and really want it to succeed.

    Cons

Not a good life balance. Had no support and asked to work too many hours. The companies sales are not positive.

    Advice to Management

Provide more support to specific departments. So the Directors can actually direct and focus on improvement and not just maintaining statuesque.
