Pros
pay compared to other companies in the same line is better then most .
£125 a year optical voucher to be spent in store not transferable and only percription glasses
free dental treatment after 2 years employment but subject to certain limits
Cons
you are expected to change your starting time to suit them all the time ie you could start at 4am one day and midnight the next shift .As a salaried supervisior you can work upto 11 and 12 hour shifts at a time even though it should be 9 hours.you very rarely get any time back ending up you are cheap labour earning less then hourly paid staff.
Advice to Senior Management
preach a very good code of ethics, reality is not the same.
little feedback in most things
not what you know but who you know that counts a lot
different standands for different people.
vists from headoffice are mostly known about giving time for managent to prepare store so there again many bad points not seen.
staff having to sign training given sheets without training being given, thereby covering the company against any claims
Pros
Costco offers the best insurance in the world . We even get 20 free massages .Overall it's still a good place to start if youve recently graduated from high school . You top out at 21 per hour in 4-5 years . They also promote from within only
Cons
Work is hard specially if you're in the front end . They make you pull carts eryday in the beginning . Hours suck cuz you're off at around 11 pm
Advice to Senior Management
Rotate people more on carts . Hire more athletic peope who can handle more labor so you can rotate more in carts . It's a lot of hard work out there
Pros
Good benefits, holidays off, and decent pay, flexible schedules if you go to school.
Cons
Super fast-paced, really not respected by management, and it seems they could replace you in a heartbeat, so they don't care much about you as a person. You are constantly being told what to do, as if you don't have a brain. Lots of favoritism.
Pros
Great benefits,above average pay,yearly bonuses
Cons
Management plays favoritism, depending on location where you work-little chance for promotion unless management likes you
Pros
The wages and working conditions were good with a strong focus on safety.
Cons
The Weekend shifts are mandatory until you earn holiday time. I had family commitments that took me out of town on many weekends so this part of their policies were a challenge for me.
Pros
the pay is awesome and it is much higher than similar companys.
Cons
They are very strict on following their code book. So if you don't plan on taking your job serious need not apply.
Advice to Senior Management
Learn how to speak and better delegate to employees. We are not just employees we are a part of the company.
Pros
The CEO and CFO and there support of the workers, there beleive in compensating and growing the people from within.
Cons
Some of upper management can loose track of the importance of supporting the worker bees.
Advice to Senior Management
Communicate more with the people doing the work when considering a change ask for their advise and really consider it.
Pros

Cons
Crazy hours sometimes, no day care.
