Pros
Excellent pay and benefits. Wage based strictly on hours worked and not performance.
Cons
Retail hours and shift work. Sometimes short staffed- esp. in evenings when it's busy.
Do not seem to support anyone who has a family and wants to work part time. Min. for pt is 25 hours and I heard recently that they are enforcing that people in my dept. who are p/t work 5 days a week- isn't that full time??
Advice to Senior Management
Part time workers are part time for a reason. If they wanted to be there 5 days a week they would be full time and receive the full benefits. Allow for more flexibility for people who make family a priority.
Pros
They are flexible with your work shedule, especially for employess with families. The work environment for the most part is a positive one and you get to know your co workrs very well. There is a sense of comraderie among employess and problems or misundertsandings are dealt with accordingly and with respect to both parties.
Cons
Sometimes there are not enough staff working in a department causing a lot of stress on the workers. Costco is all about giving the best customer service and soemtimes I feel this is not met very well because of understaffing in certain departments. More meetings are needd in order to better address issues.
Advice to Senior Management
To better equip certain departments so they run much smoother.
Pros
Job advancement, salary, benefits package
Cons
work schedule must work weekends and evenings
Advice to Senior Management
Listen to your management more and trust their ability to do their jobs
